  1. this is a smoke at places of work ban not a smoking ban a subtle difference.... i like the fella on the radio who said (in oppostion to so called smokers rights) the right to swing your fist ends where my nose begins but in the case of (your) smoke you say it can go right down my throat?!....:D
  2. as above they would have needed a court order to do this you dont need to be there when they attend..there would /should have been loads of letters in the run up to this from the company and from the court warning and informing you in equal measure...disconnection by court ordered entry is something they do very rarely i've helped thousands of people in debt and not had one go to this stage.....if you didnt get any paperwork or notice from the court then its a shock no doubt and you should apply to the local magistrates court for a hearing to get the order set aside and the meter put back in the meantime pay or offer to pay any outstanding gas/elec bill you have with them less the penalties for their actions as a matter of course
  3. 12 shots in under 3 seconds included the reload
  4. haha nice one stu...what a wind up...did he bite?
  5. IIRC somthing like 75% of all MOT fails are for light and tyre related issues...simple things easy to check but many don't bother before putting the car in...HTH
  6. seems to be a tweed interior in the pic...maybe had leather seats out of sight...was being advertised as full leather...pity you couldnt view it first...still if you aint happy with the seller (now you've won) when you do go round walk away if its not advertised correctly dont chance it... to hell with neg feedback
  7. well the weather was horrendous yesterday...rained from 6am solid till @ 7pm...needless to say i didnt go along...did anyone here actually go to this meet??
  8. saw a soft top version years ago...no wonder its only done 13k apparently it's almost undriveable from what some folks say...way too much torque on the rear wheels
  9. Looking at it the area where the car is parked, is i think, part of the carriageway (highway) and technically you're not off road there bud...just my initial thought...sorry not more positive try getting a definition from the highways agency..or local authority on this section of road to be 100% but if IIRC the pavement or boarder areas parking bays, lay-bys etc etc are all considered part of the (whole) carriageway and as such not private land....there are some private strips and verges in the odd place but thats usually marked as such or you find them adjacent to old properties (pre war etc)...your local area looks newer
  10. lol...i still have that plate on my current zed... :wack:
  11. this says it all (copied off the thread under the story):D Sorry, but thats probably the most (unintentionally) hilarious post on this entire sorry thread. "ALOUD OUT" LOL. Dear god, I'm amazed some of these people can even switch on a computer, let alone manage to mash their drivel into the keyboard (with the obligatory CAPS LOCK on of course). A whole new language for "da textspeak generation" eh. Carry on. Carly wrote: THIS IS FUNNY.CHELLE IS MY NEIGHBOUR AND IT IS NOT WHITEHAWK,NOT THAT THIS IS WHAT EVERY ONE IS MEANT TO BE TALKING ABOUT, I THOUGHT THE PROGRAM WAS GOOD AS IT IS TELLING EVERYONE WHAT REALLY HAPPENS WHEN MEN ARE ALOUD OUT. 13. here was the original story the comments were taken down last night as the family sought to defend the men and their behaviour which lead to hundreds of comments mostly deriding the family as pikey chavs who couldnt spell for toffee http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/localnews/display.var.1480509.0.tv_club_thugs_spark_police_inquiry.php
  14. well it isn;t just on car forums that threads get a little heated for instance my local paper (online)...the background was 4 blokes got filmed by a tv company out in Brighton smashing up people and getting smashed on drink n drugs...the newspaper did a story and the rest was left to the fine folk of Brighton and the blokes own families, the original thread got deleted but they are back with the second installment even this got locked :D enjoy http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/localnews/display.var.1483224.0.tv_yob_gang_set_for_ban_from_all_city_bars.php
  15. had both problems you describe was running stock too...went manual in the end I reckon zeds need a brand new auto box not recon's...IIRC you can get new auto boxes off courtesy nissan in Texas....MAC1 runs an auto at very high power not sure what he done to make it run so well...others on here may know
  16. got well an truely owned last night by a monaro....both of us were on a rolling start from @ 30mph...big straight opened up and he overtook me in some style....it must have burnt at least 1 gallon of unleaded to make the point...but all the same fair cop to the guy it sure shifted...only ever seen them on dealers forecourts or filling up before but sounded very nice flat out
  17. s2000 with some performance mods would be a newer choice but if bizz is good this year then an f430 :D
  18. i noticed this story is 2 years old....so she'd be out of jail now...so look out fellas
  19. what a class thread...Nelson on top form with all guns blazing...didnt even get locked :D
  20. oh yeah deffo facing up the incline....can take a bit of time for the system to purge itself of all the bubbles etc so take plenty of coolant / water as you might have to rev the engine a little to get the bubbles out and lose some coolant in the process as it burps outs...but you do need a cold engine to start otherwise you'll have a blast taking the rad cap off...if like me you dont have a hill close enough for the engine still to be cold when you get there then take a paper and read that for 15-20 mins whilst the rad cools enough to remove the cap safely......that said your noise could be AIV's as above but doesnt hurt to have a proper fill up anyway...peace of mind and all that
  21. air in your heater matrix i'd reckon....need to top up the system whilst parked on a steep incline...rad cap off and rad bleed screw...run the engine turn heater on full @40c as well.... once the engines warm the thermostat will open...any trapped air should travel up to the rad neck
  22. you could always leave the bugs on and paint over them...white car no prob...here's a cheap solution for you :mac1:
  23. taken from elsewhere on the web....maybe a re-post but i cant recall these "I started to turn and it was at this point I noticed a camel and an elephant tethered at the verge. This distraction caused me to lose concentration and hit a bollard." "I was going at about 70 or 80 mph when my girlfriend on the pillion reached over and grabbed my testicles so I lost control. "I didn't think the speed limit applied after midnight" "I collided with a stationary truck coming the other way" "A pedestrian hit me and went under my car." "In an attempt to kill a fly, I drove into a telephone pole." "An invisible car came out of nowhere, struck my car and vanished." "I was thrown from the car as it left the road. I was later found in a ditch by some stray cows." "Windscreen broken. Cause unknown. Probably Voodoo." "The guy was all over the road. I had to swerve a number of times before I hit him." "To avoid hitting the bumper of the car in front I struck a pedestrian." "My car was legally parked as it backed into another vehicle." "I told the police that I was not injured, but on removing my hat found that I had a fractured skull." "The telephone pole was approaching. I was attempting to swerve out of the way when I struck the front end." "I was unable to stop in time and my car crashed into the other vehicle. The driver and passengers then left immediately for a vacation with injuries." "The pedestrian ran for the pavement, but I got him." "I saw her look at me twice. She appeared to be making slow progress when we met on impact." "The accident occurred when I was attempting to bring my car out of a skid by steering it into the other vehicle." "I am planning to lend my car to someone who doesn't know how to drive, but beforehand can you please confirm that you'll pay for the damage he is likely to cause?" "While going forward I smashed the rear light of the car in front of me. So I backed up, and in doing so smashed the bumper of the car behind me. That's when I stepped out of the car, but in doing so I knocked down a bicyclist with my door. That's all I have to declare for today."
