  8. yep from previous squad members talking on the radio at the weekend they reported Uday would have them beaten up and slapped around if they lost...being killed was a myth but its a distinct possibility some never went back into the team after losing a game because of their post match injury's :mac1:
  9. gun debate eh?.....well back in the 80's there was @ 3million publically licensed firearms in the uk...owing to a succession of gun laws following hungerford etc we now have @ 1 million basically shotguns and the like....in Japan they have @ 100 publically licensed firearms this has been the same since the 80's...our death rate from shootings is equal to that in Japan....another important fact is that the police spend 1000's & 1000's of hours each year interviewing decent law-abiding gun owners as to why they need to renew the gun license when to be frank the time would be better spent actually chasing criminals who use illegal guns for crime...i think we as a public are being ripped off under such a system...oh and dont get me started on the cost of the hand gun amnesty which cost @ £1bn and made no difference to the number of gun crimes...we (the UK) could have had a specilised gun response police squad for that kind of money...hey ho....i dont own a gun by the way :) curious but true...in Switzerland teenagers are sent home with live ammo and guns to learn respect of firearms as part of national service, Switzerland, where almost every adult male is legally required to possess a gun is one of the few nations with a higher per capita rate of gun ownership than the United States, Switzerland has virtually no gun crime.

  12. not sure that the 2 problems are related but (usually)for slipping clutch...do you have any freeplay in the pedal when pressing down or just very little if so the pin would need adjusting a nadge on the top of the clutch pedal arm....alarm probs are way out of my league...bad earth possibly..or its telling you something like a diagnostic for a open switch somewhere in the circuit HTH
  13. griff is less pratical...soft top etc...cerb is a fine looking car but prone to attract the wrong sort of attention...the chim an everyday car which has a lower street profile...flip a coin :)

  18. lol...its a good story usually the daily mail run this sort of thing... £150K refit..rubbish you could build the whole house for that..council got ripped off by the contractors...re the tax credits they are bang on its not worth them working its the systems we have in place many thousands are in the same boat with just 1 or 2 kids that is the trouble with all the Mc-jobs this country has produced...it doesnt pay to go out and work for such low pay if your rent is over £600 and you wages are £1000 per month and you have childcare covered by credits at a rate of only 80%....you're skint in no time...dont forget you might have travel costs to to actually get to work as well...result not worth gettin out of bed for...sad but true

  21. he no doubt was percieved to have slighted them /dissed them by asking them to stub it out... the radio said some men had been kicking off with the security over smoking etc earlier on...i imagine him being a gent he went over to add some weight to the situation and help the security...obviously was way of his depth with these guys...amazing to think they would kill over a ciggy...heavy price to pay for getting involved..some folk have nothing to lose if they lose a little face and will kill...sadly it happens from time to time
  22. you nut Deve...very funny though
