  1. 1st kit is for an FMIC I would think! 2nd Kit - please refer to the honorable gentleman's previous answer ;-))
  2. I have mailed you with lots of requests - never heard a thing back matey?
  3. Thanks for the fab feedback guys - much appreciated.
  4. Thanks Nick - but you have a REAL engine in your car - with 8 cylinders - I'm jealous ;-))
  5. It has an internal cone that should prevent the air 'stalling' which is an issue with teh other large cone (HKS) filters I believe. Graphic:
  6. I managed to squeeze a RAMAIR filter in as well. I was not sure that it would fit - but I just need to make a couple of braces and all is good. Has anyone else tried a Jetstream RAMAIR on there TT? Ramair are here: http://www.ramair-filters.com/ This is the filter: http://ramair-filters.com/cgi-bin/byfilter/byfilter.cgi?filter=Jetstream&file=jetstream_table.html Couple of Pics:
  7. Too many lol :tooth: It will be a three year project when it completes next Autumn. But I am not in the trade, I am a [busy, thankfully] Technology Consultant, and I have to juggle everything around my lovely wifey and squids so....
  8. Basic plan is to get the engine started now and make sure everything is working ok, and to then finalise the loom modifications before I strip it all back down to lower plenum again and put it together 100% right and good. I will be making a fan cowling to mount the electric fan off of the radiator 4cm and that will produce some additional knock on work but should not be too much of a headache I hope. Then I will finalise the engine skin fitment and re-make them in Carbon with ally trims and vents. Then I can move my attention to the single piece flip front end fabrication.
  9. OK - so next - fit the throttle bodies and re-do the piping for the two oilstats as I am not happy with the routing as it stands. Let me know what you think...
  10. So at the weekend I got a few hours to start making up all the Aeromotive fuel lines and test fit some final mods... I am very happy with progress - it is [now at last] actually looking in the flesh as I imagined months ago during the planning/sketching stages - so anyway - let the pictures do the talking... Here you can see that I have the cam belt cover with the FPR mounted and plumbed into the rails... I'm biased - but it's bloody beautiful in the flesh ;-)) Here is a quick shot of the detail where the fuel return goes through the fan guide... And a shot from the side... And from the top... I ran out of fittings so I will have to finish off next weekend. Also still have to refit the pcv's and plumb them up to the rerouted valve cover connections here: Also I have improved the coil pack connection wiring but I do not have a picture yet: This was before... Getting there... :scooter:
  11. There is clearly no lady in your life or your testicles would have been removed and placed in that juicer by now lol ha ha...
  12. Hmmmmm http://www.mrchltd.com/ are importers of 'fine Korean copy's - I think this is your bumper on the bottom dude: Apparently the companies core principles are (and I quote) "Quality, Responsibility, Efficiency and Customer Satisfaction" (their capitalisation not mine!)! I suggest you go call the md on: 0174 781 2223 or email info@mrchltd.com and let them know you have a captive Zed audience at your disposal and see what happens next. Good luck. HTH
  13. copy of a copy of a copy of a copy - complete crap job! Report them to the ebay police - open a case - it's listed as new - but it's crap quality and is not fit for purpose. I think you might get somewhere - you have nothing to lose.
  14. I have created this insert for the top of my rad.. This will be mirror polished and epoxy glued into the the recess on the top of the rad. The slammer panel that I am making that covers the rad will have some holes that will allow the nice shiny bit to be enjoyed ;-))
  15. OK - this is done and I shall be installing it at the weekend and hopefully get around to doing the majority of the fuel line plumbing as well. Here's my likkle Fuel Robot... So the plenum is back on and actually bolted down!!! lol! I have started re-connecting and tidying the wiring etc. This is still not final build - but I am going to get to the point where I can turn the key and see if the beast is alive again! Then the plenum will come back off and everything will be made 100% for the final build. Some pics of progress:
  16. Cheers guys - I have actually officially bolted down my plenum at last!! Plus I have re-done the [now covert] wiring to the coil packs and the [top feed] 555cc injectors. And also fitted/bolted down the custom high level fuel rail - it all fits perfectly - yay! I am getting started on the final fuel lines mock up and will hopefully get those made up and final test fitted on Saturday/Sunday this week.. I still need to plumb 2 x oilstats for engine oil cooler and autobox oil cooler - but I have already run the braided so... Other jobs are - wire up the lekky rad fan and it's adjustable thermostat, check all the other electrical connections and final tidy the loom and make it go away visually. Plumb in the fuel temp sensor and re-route the original connector to it. Jeez it's been a while! Will post some pics when I get some time this weekend. I think I am getting close to firing this thing up - WHOOP WHOOP (hopefully)!
  17. Mine is here - AC is gone on mine though so... A bit extreem - but I am happy ;-))
  18. Still some WIP on the front jammer... Hope that helps Rob.
  19. I made my own skins - not a cover as such... I wanted to A:/ Cover up the dross B:/Frame the engine - not hide it.
  20. Hi Having removed the EGR and blocked the EGR feed port on the 'manifold'! - I am now looking for a mount hole/point for my AFR - is the EGR port (I assume) too close to the action to be usable for AFR - or any other useful measurement/sensor? I already have changed/upgraded the 'zorst'' up to the manifolds and I will have to remove one of the downpipes and drill it out/weld a new bung for the AFR if the above is a no-no, which I suspect it will be. As a side question - has anyone used the port for anything useful at all?
  21. Not yet Jimmy - still busy on the topside ;-))
  22. Hang on - didn't Silverbullet throw a conrod/blow his engine at Silverstone?!?!?!?! I think he confirmed he thought it was due to oil starvation so... ...You still want to do the same mod? Or have I missed something?
  23. So I assume this stuff was recovered as they are now on ebay - congrats matey - what happened?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HKS-GT2530-Turbos-Nissan-300ZX-S13-S14-Golf-Astra-/320562221575?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4aa2ff5207#ht_500wt_1154
  24. And finally - the (still un-illuminated flux capacitor): At both 'ends' the fuel filter will have a 12" run to a AN connector. The supply will have an inline tap. To clean/replace the filter I simply turn the supply TAP off - undo the aeroquip AN fittings at each end of the filter connectors, remove the twobolts retaining to the chassis and slide the filter out for service. 2 min job. Again, I have kept the fuel filter away from potential heatsoak and I believe it is well protected. There is still some fabrication to do with regards the front skin you see in theses pictures, but now the position has been finalised and fabbed I think I can get on with that now. Let me know your thoughts...
