  1. you can change the turbo mate without removing the engine. save you time mate. The repair kits from ebay can work very well also. But you will need a sand blaster to clean the body's up . But not difficult to do.
  2. did you get the clutch bled in the end?
  3. does sound like turbo seals.
  4. And the tt ecu is fine to run the na box also
  5. It wont burn out. unless its already knackered of corse.
  6. my point was should another garage or specialist be on here showing other garage mistakes, or should this be kept between owner and the original garage. Oh and by the way it wasnt me :) lol
  7. It comes down to the person who is doing the work to ensure his or her work is upto scratch . Clearly this is not always the case. But many garages and indaviduals do have the knowledge and experiance to keep these standereds in place. Also theres not many other industry's were anyone can carry out the work. Meaning anyone can carry out any work on there own car without it being checked or any idea that it is safe etc.And most men think there a machanics or there mate is etc etc. So the poor old motor industry is a bit open to abuse. I agree with Mac And i still think these things should be sorted in private really.
  8. Every one makes mistakes guys im sure. As i said before we see lots of other garage mistakes but its just part of the nature of the bussiness im affraid. Just make sure you go to a good garage you trust. and if it doesnt feel right when you get your car back. talk to them. d
  9. just read post jeff ok if customer wanted it known. il shut up . lol
  10. OK. But jeff has said its somone who is a z specialist on here. shoudnt that be delt with by admin or somthing on here. Seems alittle public hanging kinda stuff to me. soz folks just my view. i see plenty of bad jobs down my end just keep it between me and customers etc.
  11. Can i just say somthing. should'nt these things be kept private between customer and garage?
  12. Its always good advise to talk to a professional mechanic. Who has the knowledge to give you sound honest advise before you part with any cash on your cars etc. And i would always say My advise would always be Keep it simple ! D
  13. Looks like a really good meet guys. I hope to show my face at the next one . d

Then your talking to the wrong people clearly. And three years at college doesnt make you a qulified mechanic. In in the trade anyway. Its just the begining.Another 5 years at least after that before anyone would consider you to be compitant. plus Should i tarnish everyone in your profession with the same brush? For sure theres good and bad out there. but come on should you be slagin off ever mechanic because you mix with the bad ones at some time.

Thats a very very sad comment to make. Its a very difficult and challangeing job and customers all look at you the way you discribe above then it makes the job even harder . Do you understand all the different elements of your car and how they interact together etc.? And how to fix them ? It takes years and years and years daz

Its not easy fixing cars for a living guys it takes many many years to lean this trade. Makes me frown when people think all mechanics are bad or crooks etc. daz.
  20. you after dif oil or transbox oil mate?
  21. Check your timimng as well if its over advanced you can get the noise you discribe. Z32 King i very much dought the water from your car was damaged due to a missing washer. More likely when the water pump belt was refitted and tensioned correctly the extra pressure on the puller just sent it on its way mate. daz
  22. what were the other cylinder drop mate? you need to compare them all . the consult test shows power ballance . If one cylinder shows a larger drop than any other its actually working the hardest! so what you dont want is a cylinder that has very little drop mate. daz.
  23. Dont panic Yassa . we havnt confirmed it detonation yet at that piont. d :)
  24. lol. iv had many a bad back from these cars . d
