To anyone out there who posts video clips, what software do you use for video capture? I've been using Ulead VideoStudio 5 for capturing stuff from my camcorder and outputing to video CD. However, this seems a bit clunky and hit and miss for simply capturing video, cutting the bit out of the middle that you want to post and compressing it to a useable Internet format. Also, what formats, compression, etc, makes for good Internet viewing? Any advice appreciated.

Just remember you're nothing special, just normal like the rest of us. Then you might find it easier to fit in, not just here but in a lot of other places and interactions.

Cheers guys. Checked the terminals and they're pretty tight. Just started it up now, in the dark, and there's a faint glow from the battery light on the dash. As far as I know (which isn't saying much) this means there's more power leaving the battery than charging it? Which means alternator or wiring to alternator? Anyone brighter than me agree or disagree with this?

Driving home from work tonight when I started to get symptoms of electrical power failure. Firstly, the stereo started to cut out then went off altogether. Next the engine started to misfire under heavy throttle usage. Next the Hicas system, closely followed by the ABS system shut down (i.e. warning lights on the dash). This coincided with the variable power steering assist stopping working (i.e. the PAS was continually at the same level whatever speed I was driving). Managed to limp home. When I got home, the passenger side window refused to go up. When I cut the engine, the starter motor would only turn very momentarily before giving up. Just tried it again now (1.5 hours later) and the car starts fine and everything works! Anyone shed any light on this. The battery is obviously charged as it now starts the car. So I would presume this rules out the alternator. The battery certainly wasn't providing enough power to even close the window before but now it seems capable of starting the engine! What's that all about then? The battery's a few months old. Thanks all.

I've got a TV in my Zed. I've also got 4 boxes of crockery, 2 boxes of assorted tools and a satelite dish. I'm just going to go and shift them into the garage now. They were cluttering up my mum and dad's shed apparently.

If you were being persecuted then yes you would and should. We all have an easy life here and are all very keen to claim our right to these lands because our fathers and our father's fathers did this, that and the other. If people think we have a right to just take from everyone else because our anscestors invaded this place, put up with some crap and handed everything down to us, that's your view. Take a look at how easy your life is compared to other places. Then just be thankful at what you've got and try and put a bit back. If you want to use your historical roots here as justification that you're entitled to more than the rest of the world, try and make some amends for your historical roots by helping people out. And find out the real difference between genuine asylum seekers and people taking the pi55. Anyway, I'm bowing out gracefully now as I'm not on a mission to convince people of my views, unlike the BNP and, I presume, many of its supporters.

Nelson I would make myself very very aware of the difference between immigrants, illegal immigrants and asylum seekers before spouting too much more. Regarding immigration, find out what "legal" immigration does to any economy and why it exists. Also, trace back the waves of immigration and decide where you want to draw the line to make sure you're on the "right" side of it. Regarding asylum, fair enough it can and probably is being abused. But thank whatever God you may or may not believe in how lucky you are to live here.
