  1. It's a no-brainer mate. Got to be brakes.
  2. Anyone got an opinion on whether or not this is a good stand for a Z engine? http://www.paintain.co.uk/Automo/garg_eqp/gseqp03.htm
  3. Yeh got a manual. Thanks anyway. I can't see any way of removing the oil filter bracket as bits of the turbo are in the way. I can't see any way of removing the gusset with the bracket still in place! Aaaarrrrgh!
  4. And... BTTT again. Come on guys, I don't want to have to ask TwinTurbo.net, they're not as friendly!
  5. I can seriously recommend against this. I tried attaching a jump lead to the -ve terminal of the car and holding it against various parts of my pants. Jane watched the result to see if there was any discernible difference at each position. She reported no alteration. So we decided to try something more powerful. We wired one end of the lead into a mains plug and plugged it into the house mains. Upon repeating the experiment, we found that everything is now a lot smaller ("shrivelled" would be a better adjective). It has also had the detrimental effect of a severe blackening and some not insignificant pain. There are now also severe starting problems. So I can honestly say this wasn't the best advise I've ever received from this forum.
  6. Well I just asked my missus what she thought about all this and she told me to f**k off 'coz she was finishing her homework.
  7. I'm in the process of removing the sump with the engine still in the car. But in order to remove the driver's side "big metal plate jobby" (I think it's called a gusset but that usually means stained crotch parts to me) I've got to get the oil filter mounting bracket off first by the look of it. Has anyone ever removed this and/or knows what the best way to do it is? There seems to be a waste gate actuator gubbins in the way of two of the bolts. Any advise appreciated. Cheers
  8. Wasn't me. My suit's red and white.
  9. I think you've blacked out your exhausts as well as your lights.
  10. If you ban stuff like that, you're playing into the hands of extremists like the Witnesses and the Creationalists.
  11. Bloody hell Nelson. Nice to see you've got something new and original to post! Will I be seeing a thread tomorrow entitled, "Will my Zed go faster if I remove this engine thing to save mass?"
  12. Where did you source the disks from mate? Found these... are they the right size? http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=7/0/207/688
  13. So baggins How are you finding them then? And do you reckon these disks are likely to fit with those brackets, etc... http://www.performancebrakes.co.uk/htdocs/acatalog/On_line_Catalogue_3_O__Z16A__2125.html
  14. Coming for to carry me home...
  15. Excuse me God, could you move over please. I think you're sat in Jonny Wilkinson's chair.
  16. I can gladly tell you I've got one that works a treat. The belt in the front is too short to go round most seats. But if you get one with a separate base that you leave in the car, the front seat belt fits this no problem. Mine's a Graco seat that I got from Mothercare. It also handily unslots from the base and slots straight into the pram so no waking him up. Jane will be so so so proud of me tomorrow when I tell her I posted stuff about baby car seats on a car forum the night before the world cup final!

Come on England. Must be this time boys.
  18. Your speedo and rpm guage are in the same place as mine.
  19. Wahey it's working! Winghing ******* Aussies. There's nothing sweeter than beating the Aussies in a world cup final on their soil. Then again, there's nothing lower than getting beat by the Aussies in a world cup final on their soil. Very nervous week but you've got to favour England. Very big game. Come on boys!
  20. Nice one mate. What wheels do you have on yours? Did they actually foul with the "Nissan" on the calipers or did it just seem a bit close for comfort?
  21. I presume the spacer is to stop calipers scraping on the wheels. Is this likely to be necessary for my Oz 18" wheels?
  22. I like the price of that one. So much so, that I'm digging my hand in my wallet at this very moment. Anyone got any feelings on this mod and whether it's a good buy or not?
  23. Anyone got any comments on this?... Anyone?... Yes, you at the back. Nelson isn't it...
  24. What's happened to Turbot? How come he's never here anymore?
