Is someone going to reply to this member as this is the third time he has asked? He has had no reply yet (on here anyway). This makes us look bad.

Clutch Bleeding
After hours of mucking about trying to bleed the clutch, I've found by far the best and easiest way to do it. Once I'd got the stuff fitted to the car, it took five minutes to bleed it completely. Anyone want to know how?

Engine's back in
Hey mate They're yours whenever you like. I should know by the weekend whether it's decided to blow itself into smithereens or not! If it's still going by then, they're here for the borrowing. Cheers

Engine's back in
She works. :) Started first time. No leaks. No bangs. No smoking bits. Perfect.

Yes... you need four.

Beers = Boll0xed
Had a few beers tonight. Thought I'd share a piccy of my baby boy who's just over six months old now. Seems like a good idea at the moment. Will probably be very embarrassed tomorrow! Anyone who's a parent will understand! Oh yeah, and you'll never guess what sport he's dedicated to at such an early age!

Viscous Coupling
But if it's easier to turn by hand, it's easier for the fan to resist the rotation of the engine. I.e. the hotter it gets, the less the fan rotates. Surely that can't be right.

Viscous Coupling
Right... I just put my viscous coupling in the oven! Sounds daft but I wanted to check it locked up when it got hot. However, the hotter it got, the easier it was to turn by hand. To me, this sounds like a bust viscous coupling. Any thoughts?

Crunch on normal change into top gear
If you get it all out and make sure the oil cooler and hoses are filled, you'll need four. I've just done it and it took three and a bit.

how much is your speedo out
Over the last four weeks my speedo has been 100% accurate. It has been reading 0mph and I have definately been going exactly 0mph.

Engine's back in
Bloody hell I'm knackered! Not quite got it finished off yet. Everything's back in apart from the accessory belt stuff (alternator, PAS pump, air con, etc). Going to try and take Tuesday off to finish it and power her up. I'll tell you something for free as well... MT90 doesn't half flow really really really slow down narrow guage rubber pipes into the gearbox! Took over an hour to fill it up!

Engine's back in
Do you think I should put it a bit lower? That might help actually 'coz I was getting fairly bothered about whether the selotape holding the crane to the wing was going to hold. If I put it lower I may be able to ditch the crane altogether!

Engine's back in
Got the engine back in today. Also, put the flywheel and clutch on it and got the gearbox back on. So tomorrow is propshaft, exhaust, accessory belt stuff and engine electrical/water/oil connections day. So hopefully, fingers crossed, everything will be back working again by tomorrow night.

Battery Ground cable
It grounds onto the engine mate. The ground wire goes round the back of the engine and bolts onto the cylinder head. It then carries on to also ground onto the bell housing where the engine meets the gearbox. Presumably this extra ground is to aid the starter. Still don't know understand what all this recent grounding fuss is about. For the engine to run well you need a decent ground to the thing that's providing the power. And that's the alternator. Working on extra grounding to the battery will surely only help the battery to charge itself.

Codes 33 & 34
Could well be a boost leak mate. These can come on suddenly and cause the symptoms you are observing. Also, the mixture will be too lean at idle as unmetered air will be getting drawn into the system. Check everywhere for leaks is where I'd start.

Chips chips chips!
And it'll be in our good hands for many a year to come too! At least you can lay claim to owning it first though.

Engine's ready
The only thing I've been able to find is from Courtesy. You'll need two of these: http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=24079-00001&Category_Code= And two of these: http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=24079-00002&Category_Code= If anyone knows of a better one let me know as I'm thinking of ordering these soon.

Engine's ready
To be honest, I have absolutely no idea any more! It was a case of a bit here, a bit there, a lot here, a lot there, etc, etc! I'd imagine I've spent something in the order of £3000 - £4000 over the last couple of months.
