is it possible to hide the answers (ie so you have to highlight them to see them) or put them in a seperate post to the questions? when i saw the title i was looking forward to trying to guessing, but nearly all the answers were already there :(

some zed owners from the south east (some frequent this forum, some don't) were in a pub last sunday talking about just that thing. These Zed owners (and the honary non-zed-owner) decided 18th Dec would be a good day for a christmas meet up and the favorite location seems to currently be Ascot. given that christmas is a) a busy period for most people and b) the season of goodwill to all zed owners; would it be worth advertising that event rather than having a seperate one?

well, everything is now dry, swapped coil packs round - confirmed its not that found loose connection on PTU - turns out that just created extra faults so still down on cylinder one fairly sure now its the injector any one got a TT injector spare i can try? what is the going rate for second hand injectors? how much is a new one? is it 300zx specific or a standard part?

today the car was running sounding very rough, so i did a conzult. no errors and everything looked right. balance test showed revs drop by about 50rpm on clyinder one and 400 to 500 rpm on the other five to me this reads that cylinder one is working slightly but not fully. am i right?? recently i had a new front bumper fitted and they forgot to refit the splash gaurd over the cone air filter, the car started running ruff the day after i washed it (and i have a vented nose pannel) so i was blaming it on water sucked in the air filter into the cylinder. however there is no sign of water in the engine what else should i check? i had asumed it was not an electrical problem due to the asumed fact that the cylinder is working a bit rather than not at all

supposed to be very good with fto / gto and the 2 guys that run it are friendly and helpful. however myself and at least one other think their 300zx service is absolute crap, possibly down to the abilaties of the guy they get to work on 300zx. Hampshire jap car club had a meet at teh rolling road there a couple of months ago so may be worth asking them

ah i missed about 40 minutes then, i left during the one after november rain, the one after the guy with the double guitar did his solo (cant remember what it was, it wasnt one of theirs tho)

i was at the O2 last night for guns and roses too was very pleased when i found out who the support were , really enjoyed both bands pitty guns and roses went on stage nearly an hour late, in order to catch the last train we had to leave about 20 minutes before the end (along with about a third of the audience it seemed would of laughed if he had come back on for an encore and found an empty room

clutch servo is very rare to find second hand as they normally sell with a manual conversion kit and were only on the manual TT. i waited over a year to get one about £400 new or sometimes possible to get a recon one from Z1

you have to cut notches in the top of the centre pannel so it can slide up under the gauge pod as they share the same mountings - thats the main reason i havn't fitted my v2 yet, and also the reason why i got it really liked the v1 and fitted it to my last zed except for the fact there were no fixings to attach it with and it had to glue on

i would of thought getting the vacuum lines wrong would just make the clutch pedal very heavy and the brake less effective

thanks kim for organising an excellent weekend had a great time, thanks to everyone else too i was talking to someone on another stand who was saying they felt unwelcome on their own stand. this is what made it great for me, i never felt unwelcome on the 300zx stand and i don't think anyone else there did either

interesting read this stuff - thanks to Stella and others the following is intended constructivly, its how i see a couple of things, i'm aware i can't see the whole story, however if i only have my view of something then that is what stays in my head even if i'm wrong. maybe others see stuff the same way 1. i posted an (i thought constructive) opinion in a thread a while ago and got acused of being one of the trouble makers who only come on here to cause trouble - that hurt as i come on here 2 or 3 times a day , nearly every day for about 8 years, and usually only talk about relevant helpfull stuff (imho) and yes i aplied to be a mod 2. just because someone posts on another forum with similar interests and considers others that do the same to be friends or aquantances or just someone i met on the internet doesn't mean they are anti this forum or its committeee or moderators. i read 5 other car forums and 8 technical forums, none of these are relevant to my opinion here. if i don't post here for a week or two it doesnt mean i like the comittee of another forum more than this one - it either means i'm busy or have nothing to say, please don't be rude to me when i do post 3, sometimes new people make idiots of themselves, sometimes through lack of understanding, sometimes because they are idiots. this forum sometimes seems to automatically asume they are idiots (or troublemakers) rather than in need of guidence. 4. a few misplaced "fu@k of to another forum" or "we are better of without that troublemaker" comments undo a lot of good moderating and could discourage members new and old
