  4. got in half hour ago heres a quick review: arrived ring went home
  5. looking at your thread i think you will need a lot more stuff to do it properly when i looked at doing it i rekoned you need to replace the ducting everywhere it has a sensor (theres at least 2 under the trim under the steering wheel) windscreen vent as one has a sensor fitted. and quite a lot of the main air deflecting box with the motors to control the flaps good luck though, it will be interesting to see how it goes anyway , if your sucesful can i buy the manual pod as its in better condition than mine by the look of it
  6. yeah, i looked at it by comparing my series 2 and series 4 and decided not to
  7. i disagree. unless you have D1 on your licence (ie you got your car licence before 1997) or you have taken a DVLA PSV test then you can only drive up to 9 seaters (8 pasengers plus driver) unless... you are driving the minibus on a section 19 permit. these are issued to schools and charities and the like. a section 19 permit must be displayed in the window and you must be driving on the business of the owner of the permit, for the use specified when they applied and in no way in conjunction with any money making concern. in order to drive a section 19 permited buss you must be over 21 , with a full licence for 2 years, recieve no financial reward in any way, and follow a load of other rules too
  8. air con control was different instrument cluster was slightly different
  9. i was running 12/9 but having forgoten to turn them down after track session was running 20/19 for a bit . now at 14/14
  10. a quick search shows it was 2005,( i've been here to long) and is not there anymore
  11. some years ago there was thrread on the forum with a link to a map of the uk with members locations on. just down to the town, so you could see i lived in guildford, but not the actual adress. not seen it for ages
  12. they didnt, however, and i'm heading into speculation here, the series 3 which was the last UK model sold '93 to '94 had as standard an airbag and hence a redesigned speedo with an airbag light. I recently sold a speedo that looked identical to a series 4 except it had a boost gauge which the series 4 didnt have, so it was either a series 3 or series 5. therefore its possible that a UK series 3 speedo (airbag model) will fit a '95 series 4 import
  13. all converters should change the odometer to aproximatly miles as they are fitted before the speedo and the odometer takes its signal from the speedo people who change only the speedo face to one that goes up to 120mph without fitting the electronic converter will find the odometer still reading KM nothing from a series 2 is compatable with a series 4 (and i think a series 3 although cant confirm) the connections to the entire unit are different and the mounting points on the speedo section (which are also electrical connections) are in totally different places using a converter shouldnt affect the PAS to baddly as long as your speedo is in good order. you might feel that its a bit lighter at low to mid speed.it will also in theory affect the hicas if you have it a speedo with poor solder joints may work without the converter but not with. this is especially true on a car with a manual conversion (my manual conversion 1995 zed speedo didnt work till you got to 10mph and therefore had almost no power steering till then, fixed by a bit of resoldering - but be aware the series 4 speedo is surface mount technology and not fun for soldering)
  14. in april last year Danny posted: The full (software only) version of our ConZult diagnostic software will work with "most" 3rd party cables and costs £150 for the ZX version. For £275 you'll get the complete ConZult kit including hardware, software, rom reader, user manual and free support.
  15. cant find the PMs/emails from when i bought it, seem to remember about £300
  16. i bought my full version (hardware, software and usb to serial) from Danny at DTA who was trading on here
  17. no, was an auto till about 2 months after i got it and a trip home with the AA
  18. well i've seen 14. and from adverts over the last 10 years or so rekon theres about 30 there are also quite a few manuals. what is very rare is a factory manual vert. I've only ever seen 2 of them
  19. the cutting is the same for all the keys , ie you can get a valet cut from a master. the difference is in the lines down the key not the edges. I found getting the titanium cut they had to have a second pass on the machine before it worked if you have a UK car the key code is in the glove box on a small round sticker and they should be able to cut the key from that better than from another key
  20. the switch presumably has 3 conections to it (asuming the switch iluminates to tell you fogs are on) so youve lost one wire, have you put the other 2 back on the wrong conections?
  21. if i didnt already have 2 zeds, i would be happy to pay between 3k and 4k for that, so you probably want to ask a little more as i'm a tight git
  22. is this what you want, if so pm me your address and i'll stick it in the post
  23. fairly sure ive seen what you want on ebay in teh past. its possible i even have a spare in the garage, i know i acidentally bought the wrong one when i changed my series 4 to 120mph. will look tommorow
  24. so that thing he was doing under your car with the exaust pipe was some kind of interpretive dance then ?
