  1. Yeah, but these are nearly totally black. Makes reversing at night a bit entertaining.
  2. If anyone's interested, I finally got some pics of my new car and put 'em in my rides page.
  3. Just fitted full energy suspension poly bush kit. Some of the bushes are an absolute bugger to do, but probably worth the effort. Probably took me about 10 hours to do, but that was dropping the subrframe and taking off the hubs etc too so that I could get it into the press. Much less wheel hop on launch and the whole car definately feels tighter. Finally some feedback through the wheel too. Only downside is alot more transmission noise inside the car, particularly with my noisy plate diff, and slightly harsher ride. Reackon I can live with that though :D
  4. Anyone know how to get window tints off. Jap who had my car decided a 300zx van would look good and blacked out the rear quarters and screen. Cheers
  5. Aaahhh, cheers guys!! Justin, give me a buzz whenever suits, I'm away for a week but any time after should be OK. Cheers
  6. Finding where it leaves is easy, problem is I don't think it's the same sort of signal. It goes through some circuitry, I was guessing it changes the pulse to a 0-X volt analogue signal for the other units.
  7. You will have HICAS on a TT. AFAIK, all converter chips affect all the signals. The pulse signal from the speed sensor to the speedo head is the one you change, and the circuitry that modifies the signal to go to the steering etc is on the back of the speedo head, so there is no way to leave that signal untouched. I stand to be corrected, but that's how it looked from the diagrams and tracing the tracks on the board.
  8. Looking good Pete. Now you just need some R33 brakes to fill them R33 wheels. Oh and a set of bilsteins of course ...
  9. It's camoflauge stoopid. Hides you from speed camera's :D
  10. Yup, that's it. It is pretty good really, interior is spotless. Just got to clean all the tar off the stone chip bits now, they're covered in it :( Just end up spreading it around trying to get it off
  11. Found it wasn't much quicker in a straight line when I raced one. Round the corners was a different story though. I was pretty much on the ragged edge and it must have carried 20-30mph more through some bends. Guess that's where the extra £80k goes ..
  12. The ECU I don't think uses the speed signal for anything, auto box might though? The steering definately does, feels way too light with converter chip and the HICAS gets the wrong signal.
  13. Cheers Pete, turned out pretty well. Should look much better by next week though
  14. On my car and Pete's, 1.0mm jets gave 12psi, but some people have had different results. Be careful about running too much boost without changing the chip to suit. I'm in Kidderminster so if you need a hand, drop me a line. Can sort you out with a chip too if you're interested. Cheers
  15. ecu

The ECU plugs can sometimes not seat properly, make sure it's on firmly at both ends. Unlikely to have caused your problem I'd say, but worth a go.
  16. Andy, how did you come up with the 13psi? Have you had a voltmeter on the MAF?
  17. SE basically uses a bit more timing to get more power
  18. Don't know, sorry it was on when I got the car.
  19. Deemon tweaks or think automotive or james lister all sell universal mocal coolers. Was going to fit one but never done it yet. IIRC, 19rowx115mm will fit for engine no probs with 5/8 fittings. If you've got an autobox you can then use the old engine cooler for that. Luke at the z center does a kit if you want to buy it ready to drop in.
  20. FWIW, I've got a carbing one in mine and it's fits beautifully. No contact at all with the bonnet, you do have to loose that plastic cover thing between the banks, but it does nowt anyway.
  21. No Probs, pleased it worked. You can edit it then export the changes to a new BIN if you want to tweak it. Cheers
  22. I've put together a dependence package for it, so hopefully that'll include all the files it needs to run properly. It's about 2.5Mb, so I'll zip it up and send it tonight. Cheers
  23. Ah, that one!! A few people have had that but I've never been able to replicate it. Seems some PC's don't have the Hex$ function on them. Try running office update, and if you give me your email address, I'll send you a version that I know is fully compiled, that might fix it?! FYI, I developed it on Windows XP SP1, VB6 runtime files installed and Office 2000 SP1. Cheers John
