Facelifting the Z....tentative!
Since you're comtemplating on a freshen up.. I definately think the ideas you have come up with so far sound very nice. 99 Spec front is IMO the nicest front bumper and the only natural progression for change from the 89>98 spec.. If you can get the 99spec skirts, then go for it. It's got to be either those or kaminari... then, the rear.. what do you think about the Twinz diffuser? (2+2) when it comes available?.. Also, good idea on keeping it white, go for the 370Z pearl :) I saw one in pearl and it looked immense, plus it's Nissan paint so kudos on that! Wheels, well BBS LMs are IMO some of the best wheels out there for the Z, so yeah, I think you should go for it :)

Off to Branson Z Fest in June.
I was wondering what the Branson Z fest was that you have on your sig. - Knew it wouldn't be anything UK related :( - we just don't seem to have the enthusiasm that the yanks have or the weather, or the nice long open roads...

TwinZ (peru) Rear bumper with diffuser
cheers dave - I assume it's talks with Z1, not the Twinz as they are a nightmare to get ahold of, but if just by chance... please try and get some info on the 2+2. thanks again. :)

Silly questions from a newbie
Hey bud - I'm not saying it's doomed, I suppose some might say that a well looked after/serviced auto will last a lifetime, and yes the earlier ones had smaller autobox coolers, but the reality is any Z auto can go regardless of how well the car has been kept and looked after.. You could do a little service on it for your own peace of mind I guess, and i'm not sure about the stresses and strain differences between N/A and TT's.. So you may be alright?.. But I have had to go down the conversion route myself and I would never have an auto Z again. But fingers crossed :duffer: you wont have any troubles :)

new car
LOL - aslong as she's happy with it, that's main thing :) .. personally, I always hated those ill fitting s2k style front bumpers, the lexus style tail lights.. & razor blade spoilers.. also it's the ESI uk spec with non-elec roof :-( .. I suppose it still has the elec rear window lol

smooth engine bay
am I right in thinking that in order to have a 'smoothed' bay, you must take the engine out?

finally led for the mirror controls
Looks fab to me Graham! :) - Will be coming in a box soon with the mirrors i'll be returning to you :)

Other car forums.....
I can definately agree with this forum being the best I have been on, and hense the reason I have paid up for my 2nd years subscription :) Other forums are bitchy and un-helpful - this forum even helps people with non-z related issues which other forums would be highly un-helpful/tolerant of.

99 spec leds
LOL - No worries - Would it be possible if either you or Dave post up a pic of the rear marker so I can see it please? - I quite liked the line of the light, but then I haven't seen anything else to compare it too.. Cheers
-
99 spec leds
Graham, will you just be manufacturing Tail Lights in LED? - It would be great if you done rear markers and indicators too, more people would possibly buy them if they knew they could get a complete set from you, especially if you could replicate the look of these ones: - also, will the leds indicators need electronic flasher units? - I assume these will be a doddle when compared to a set of tails..

Accelerator pedal modification
CheerZ matey! - are you refering to the lower fog lights? - if so, I put in some white leds replacing the original 501's. Some odd reason they emit a blue-hue which is similar to the colour of the 8k HIDs I am using. :)

Silly questions from a newbie
You'll eventually find just through driving the autobox will just destroy itself in some way/shape or form - they are the achilles heel of the 300zx - enjoy it while it lasts! :nuke: lol

Double din centre console
cheapest they go for is around £50...

Double din centre console
I haven't seen any clips? but I haven't pulled my centre console out yet, I just assumed it had mounting tabs and was in held by screws from pictures I have seen.. I will need to find a pic of the clips to see what you mean..But it just got me thinking considering people across the pond have been churning out tacky carbon ones and z32 zone do them, makes me wonder how they manage... maybe they just use old consoles from breakers and just modify them?.. also, if you done a direct mould, wouldn't these clips from the original just fit straight on, and considering everyone on this forum has a car with a centre console.. they could just swap the clips over lol .. either way it's just a thought

Double din centre console
Car.Mad have you not thought about doing the double din centre consoles, you would probably be the first guy over here that does them, and at a very high standard.. I'm pretty sure a number of people would be interested too. Myself included.. :)

Might be ordering a new car this time next year. Just wondering what's out there.
That is quite smart :) - Definately can't complain if it's your daily driver and you didn't have to pay for it! - Colour is stunning too!

Apple sourz
Apple SourZ is definately for an acquired taste! - It even makes your teeth feel 'Furry' lol
-
Accelerator pedal modification
I think he means KPH lol - maybe has MPH dials, whilst the needles are reading in KPH still.. Would definately get some good 0-60 times lol
-
Accelerator pedal modification
hmm, I wonder why Nissan did this, i'm assuming the spring pushes against your foot to keep the pedal level... but if the pedal was just mounted and fitted flush against the pedal assembly.. there wouldn't have been a need for this spring lol.. Seems a bit weird..
