  1. legrath, what is wrong with the d2 setup ? - I have heard good things about d2...
  2. It would depend on what you want your setup for.. if you are intending to just drop the car and go for looks, just go for lower springs (Tein).. and yes sometimes lowering springs can affect the stock shocks, but you could buy some performance rated shocks too.. I am sure this is less than a set of coilovers still.. But, If you are intending to go rallying corners lol and you have your heart set on some coilovers.. BC seem good, but I am of the opinion D2 do some very good parts too.. I am sure someone will be along soon though to give you more info on good coilovers :) - ^^ there you go.. beat me to it lol
  3. LOL - This thread reminds me of the Space Raiders Crisp price war..... "Space Raiders remained at an inflation-beating retail price of 10 pence from their introduction in the late 1970s all the way until late October 2007, when the price was hiked to 15p" 30'odd years at 10p, then wham! a 50% price inflation! All the other sweetie legends are following! :O
  4. I agree with Si, I like the brushed alloy look on the projector only, with a deep glossy black affair on the inside lower. It's the best/least tacky thing you can do with them I have seen and although the 99 spec look are rare, I still prefer pre-99 look, it is definately more aggresive and not as Bug-eyed.
  5. that's hilarious! - but true nonetheless lol
  6. My mate has a GTO, whats up for grabs?
  7. From what I have been lead to believe K-Sport, G4 Racing and D2 are all the same company.. It just depends which colour you prefer on your calipers.. as to the best caliper colour, theres a poll in another thread lol..
  8. I think part of the reason it doesn't feel as fast as you're expecting is partly due to the car being bigger and bulkier and more solidly built to whatever other car you are used to? - Silvia comes to mind.. Bigger vehicles just feel slower at higher speeds I guess.. Hense why a boeing 747 feels pretty cosy at 500mph.. also, you mentioned about a skyline and other cars.. they all seem to be around the same bhp.. so not really gonna notice much there.. and type R's are fast but I would say about 70% of what you are mistaking for power is noise in a honda
  9. I had one for 3 years - Top Spec B16A Engine Crx delsol - The Civic title means it's a UK / US model.. Crx in the title means it's a jap. First things to look for are Oil coming from the Cam Seal which is just next to the Vtec Solenoid, also while you are looking around that area, check the engine stamp.. depending on the spec you are going for if it is a 1.6 uk model.. it should say B16a2 160bhp (vti).. the number denotes area.. 2 europe, 3 I think is america vti is called VTEC in america..and if it doesn't have one, then it is a Jap (SiR) 175bhp standard... they do do a few other poverty models like the esi.. which is a 1/5, but we wont go there lol To be honest, you would be best going for the SiR as it comes with all the extras like the Gathers speaker package which also has litle tweeters in the doors and interior map lights built into the door handles, and a few other little refinements which I can't remember right now, namely though, a redline of 8200rpm and make sure the seat stripe matches the colour of the cars exterior, climate control settings, a/c and a nicer looking dash in general.. different rear tail light garnish, different brake and headlights and some if you are lucky extra lower fogs.. Captiva Blue Pearl is the most sought after, aswell as the transtop electric roof as mentioned.. if you go for a transtop listen to it working, it will naturally be a little noisy as there is 115+ moving parts but if it sounds clunky.. then it may need repairing.. check if it has the manual winder just incase... I used to be a moderator on the delsol forum and also started off the last forum which was dsoc so i'll dig out the new buyers section tomorrow for you.. heres a few pics of my ex baby
  10. 300ZX_DRE replied to bird's topic in Events - UK
LOL - I was thinking the same thing.. not many people seem to chat or meet from up the north east.. and those who do.. are either zedless :( or their car is off the road having work done (Like me) ..hmmm
  11. Ahh Cheers Baz Mate :thumbup1:
  12. Hey Leigh, good to see you're back & on the up :) hope everything works out with the band, sounds promising :)
  13. Lol - I used to Love My delsol SiR :) Wicked little cars But, about the lip on the 300zx.. Am I reading the thread right, as I'm now thinking there is a similar lip for sale on ebay at odd occasions?
  14. Enjoy your time away Si! - By the way, what is there to do in Hermanus anyways?.. lol
  15. One of my favourite french cars, the Alpine.
  16. My Grandfather used to swear by his Renault 19 16v and his Renault 21 Turbo.. Back then the company, and I believe many others were more daring and adventurous.. I think Renault are still a little crazy at times, and even Citroen when they want to be.. But Boring old Peugeot, I don't what has gone wrong...
  17. The Basking Shark design is apparently to prevent serious injury... to someone who walks out infront you, they reckon that this design when moving will reduce the amount of deaths as the torso will lie across the car and absorb some of the impact LOL... Yes they designed a car based on one of the best killers ever, on the assumption that it will save lives if it hits you at 30mph.. - You know, you could fall over in the street and bang your head and be in a coma.. It doesn't matter what design the car is, if something fast hits you.. it's gonna hurt regardless..
  18. LOL - I love how Si's threads drift off topic - How did we go from Peugeots current crap corporate image.. to Dyslexia? Anyways, I would just like to say, I haven't liked a Peugeot since... The 106 Rallye, the 206 is crock of sh1t and was never a decent replacement for the 205 GTI 1.9, and IMO peugeot only ever done one decent rare car that I have seen called a 405 t16 with 4wd and even that was broken when I saw it.. The french just don't do cars which get my pulse racing.. Maybe in the late 80's.. but that's like nearly 30 years ago... I agree with what someone earlier in thread said, about it being nice to see an R5 gordini turbo or a Pug 205 GTI go past on the motorway.. I don't think the same will be said about the Pikachu car lol.. Nor do I think any of the current line up with be on the road in the next 20 years anyways..
  19. LOL - actually Mills lived in Washington - Which is nearer to Sunderland but classed as County Durham.. She used to live in the same street as my girlfriend and went to school with her older bro, and from what all the neighbours have said about her, she was always complete stuck up *&%£"
  20. Will never know unless someone tries.. I'm assuming it's only fibreglass too, which can be repaired.. Plus with the above being said, that should definately have some impact on the price of the kit.. so pixas could essentially get the kit he wants cheaper than elsewhere.. plus last I knew, Craig had his 'big' sale on lol Craigs words;
  21. Doesn't CraigTT have a Strosek kit for sale?.. So I would say He is the best person to see.. if so..
  22. Like I said, this happened ages ago, and roughly about the time it went to Zedworld and Jeff tweaked with it and gave it a clean bill of health again et.al. no more problems:) - I just never thought about it in great detail.. lol I appreciate the reply though Si... Sorry for thread hi-jack again! :)
  23. - This isn't intended as a thread hi-jack.. But the Cat-Overhead sensor reminded me of something...One time when I went to the petrol station after doing a long journey, I filled my car up.. and paid, then went to start the car back up.. and the light on the dash for the cat overheat sensor came on.. and it wouldn't allow the car to start until it cooled down... It's never happened since, but 'ditching' it couldn't cause any un-desirable problems?.. such as not starting when it decides or anything could it? lol.. Oh and btw - I have FGK exhausts too! - Good choice :D
  24. Mmm looks quite nice, I am a fan of Ab-Flug products mind..
