  1. oh, i'm not trying to open the actual lights themselves up.. I just want to remove the lights from the car as I have some 99specs to replace them with... I just can't get them off/out the car lol.. Once the bolts are un-done.. You would think you then just push the brake lights out and then you can replace them.. but with mine, they are stuck...?
  2. After taking out all the boot trim, un-doing all the necessary bolts which hold the brake lights in place.. I tried to push my Brake lights out, but they were stuck in place.. I don't know if this is due to the cold weather we are having lately, or are Z32 Brake lights Glued/Sealed in place? as I could not get them out no matter how hard I tried... They appear to have a kind of black seal around them.. and my car is like 19 years old and I wouldn't have thought they have ever been taken out since they were put in from factory.. so the seal has had 2 decades to cement itself... Can anyone give me any handy tips on how they would over-come this "stuck break light" issue Many Thanks André
  3. Okay, I'll have to have a think about this.. But it's going to be one of 2 options... Either I buy another carpet to cut.. or get something made to match and cover the back of the seat... I am not cutting my existing pristine carpet lol... Anyone know of any LWBs with Boot carpets for sale..... CRAIG :) - Thanks for the help guys!
  4. Yeah, I noticed the plastic clips and I 'gave it a little tug' and there was some velcro-ish stuff to the bottom left and the top looked as if it was held in by something more than just the clips.. but you could be right....
  5. Haha, that's what i'm actually trying to avoid TBH.
  6. I am going to remove my bootcarpet to install the enclosure & sub which I bought from Craig http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=133111 I haven't used my Z in about 7 months as it is garaged and having lots of goodies bought for it. So in saying that I haven't used it in a while, I had a quick look at the boot the other day and realised when I pushed the back seats forward, that the boot carpet is actually joined onto the back seats.... It has screw/clips in place and it looks as if it is stitched onto the back of the rear seats?.. Obviously it isn't possible to remove the carpet without ripping it from the back seats too? Is this right? Can anyone help me with any advice on this please? Cheers
  7. Those seats are gorgeous, and I have loved reading the updates you have been doing to your car Madmax, I agree with an earlier comment that this car is going to be one of the best zeds out there and on this site! keep up the progress mate! :)

  13. Yes certainly is nice, it has been posted before mind.. back in 2006 lol.. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=74217&referrerid=15219
  14. Not many cars age as well as the Z32, the shape is timeless IMO. Z32 all the way.
  15. Well, the car looks okay to me... Only things I would point out are the obvious; - Powerflow exhaust - Blow off valves - Momo Steering Wheel - Boost Gauge - Turbo timer / Boost controller If you like the above, then that's all good! As far as I can see, it just needs a damn good clean up! - and also it is missing the fuse box cover.. Did you have any specific criteria / pre-requisites you were looking for in a Z?.. because It is worth mentioning this is a Short wheel based 300zx, they are quite rare too..
  16. I can't see any stickers on it either, and to be honest, if that is the video of the car for sale being booted up and down the road.. then as a potential buyer I would be a little put off.. my advice, from one André to another :) Good luck with your search!
  17. That's pretty impressive.. I will have to get this game too, especially as it has the Z32 in it :) Good find Baz!
  18. A'PEXi are very highly rated - I would like to know how it compares with an Arc Super Induction box.....
  19. I agree Simon, and believe micro smd leds are definitely the way forward with regards to getting the edge more crisp and rounded. One question I do have with regards to the tail lights is the braking light and side light, I presume I will need a higher intensity led mounted between the cluster to make the brake lights apparent, as you cannot run a higher voltage through an led like you can with a halogen? as they have 2 filaments for this, whereas LEDs will just pop. So the board will need a row of higher intensity bulbs for the brake light, which could break up the appearance again? The ones that clear corners do are fine, but it's just that side edge that will grate on me. I would like the strip to be packed nice and neatly together if I was to get them done myself, but it's the aggro of scouring the internet for companies and places to get it all done, and then to have them tell you it's not worth there while as they don't do one offs, plus the price it would cost would be silly unless made in bulk. If you have contacts that would be able to do this, then that is fantastic and maybe you could make some money from it too? The final thing that gets me is the fact that I know ALOT of people would purchase these if they were readily available, and a lot of people have ideas on these, but the ideas never seem to make it past the drawing board, this is why I am looking forward to seeing what Groover will produce. :)
  20. Haha, you guys are right, it was certainly a boring fight and not worth the hype, boxing really has nobody exciting anymore, we need to have some psychos like tyson again.. I feel like I have been duped, but on the plus side, atleast we have a new british champ..
  21. I could have done with this back when I changed mine. - Great write up none the less Shamaz Majid :)
  22. Well, let me be joint 1st.. as I created this thread LOL :D
