  1. well, it was the fact I was pulling out slowly then he just blasted infront of me without considering the fact I had right to way i.e. Give way to the right, so I had to slam the anchors on.. So I wanted to teach him a lesson, but ended up getting owned in the process...
  2. I know the feeling Johnwayne, about 4 months ago I was filling up on a motorway service station, and a black corsa came screaming in, really raspy exhaust, some little chav gets out and fills it up and comes in to pay, we gets back into our car and he shoots out infront of me... I thought right, you little b*****d, and I got upto him in the fast lane, then he just dropped it and left me.. I was absolutely mortified and my friend who was in the car with me couldn't believe it either.. it was an old corsa, the 1996 variant.. but i'm convinced it either had a C20let or a Calibra V6 in it.. with the 4x4 system to boot lol.. it's not a nice feeling, being beaten by a sleeper lol..
  3. I have had loads of them mate, in my experience the nitro/glow fuel ones are always more maintenance, but still great fun. I prefer the electric/battery ones as I have an rwd drifter lol.. If you do decide on getting one, I would recommend a battery one for a beginner they are just more responsive. Also I have attached a video for the benefit of everyonem, as this little video has some RC racing in it, and it's the only video I could find with a ZX in it at 3.55 lol. I want a ZX shell next :D
  4. yeah you could be right phil, however, that cars looks are still subject of debate on the forum lol, we need a new wide arch victim to judge lol.
  5. If you're looking straight down on a Z, the front does bulge out with the way the front wings are.. Sort of like an S2000, but more subtle.. I have never seen a wide-arch 300 straight on or looking down at one to see what the shape looks like and if it suits it properly, it's mainly always side shots.. but to my knowledge wide arch kits I have seen are all about getting noticed, and they do wonders for the presence of the car.
  6. wow, that's definately gonna get attention wherever it goes lol
  7. I think it might of been on top gear once?
  8. my god that is 1 beautiful front bumper :D and the spoiler is brill too :D one of the few "higher" spoilers I like on the Z, I am liking this... so any ideas of which wide arch kit yours is gonna look like so far??
  9. I reckon gruntpa is right, it will need alot of work to look right and get it spot on! altho.. 16k is a hell of alot of £££.. I think gruntpa's car is very nice though :) altho it does look slightly euro to me.. lol
  10. by the way, what is the "Viper" spoiler?.. is it from a Dodge Viper?.. lol
  11. haha my thoughts exactly:rofl:
  12. Yeah, it sounds like we're both in the same boat where our gearboxes are concerned, I wasn't getting any faults from my auto diagnostics test either, but I just assumed that's all it could be since it wouldn't shift into 3rd.. so I doubted the ecu.. either way tho it's fooked!.. but i'm glad to hear you're still keeping the Z mate, Manual conversion is definately the one! :D
  13. Yeah, well then if it's just the rear arches you're after then go for that option, the only reason I suggested the Abflug is because, well I think it's gorgeous and I love your front bumper, did you have it imported if you don't mind me asking?.. Also, i've always been a stickler for having things matching.. might be OCD lol, but I just think if your gonna have an Abflug bumper, you should finish off the rest of it.. rather than having a mix n match kit.. which affects the lines on the car.. and might even make the all important "stance" look wrong! Also, here is a pic of the Kit I like.. I personally think it's such a nice kit, that even FunkySi would agree :hyper:
  14. Sounds like shift solenoid or line pressure solenoid.. that's if it's not going into upper gears even when you floor it, as that's what happened to mine.. only thing I can suggest is speak to JeffTT, he is the man with this kind of stuff. It's such a shame this even happens, the only real fix, for the auto.. is removing it and doing the auto:manual conversion, and that's if you intend to keep the car long term, and to be fair, it would be hard to sell a ZX which wont move, so you're best off doing the conversion mate, that's what i've decided to do anyways... sorry to hear this though brett, I hope someone else can offer some other suggestions and that this wont put you off your Z!
  15. So what's happened?.. Loss of drive?.. Loss of a gear?..
  16. yes, as far as im aware middleshursts imported them and there were 100 in total, all R34's.. the main differences being stated above aswell as the geo-reading/display unit was all translated into english, better diff, alower susp, and nismo coolers.. I think they had a rear diffuser .. overall I think they were better than the jdm.. which is odd..
  17. what's happened mate?.. is it an auto by any chance?
  18. Can I just say, what a gorgeous 300 that is mate, good work! :) - and yes, Lower from me too lol.
  19. I was going to say the same Car.Mad, do you have any pics of the wide arch kit you are going for?.. Since you have an Abflug front bumper, why not just save up the ££££ and go for an Abflug wide arch kit, which i believe to be the best aftermarket kit for the car.. Which I am also considering
  20. o0o0o battlefield is the way forward guys :D
  21. I agree with takemotothepub, IE8 is such a pain in the arse, I installed it, then re-stored my system straight back when I realised it was gonna be another user-unfriendly with features nobody really needs. Stick to IE7 if you can mate.
  22. Red LWB with vented nose panel flying past me towards harwell green bank (The 20mp steep road with loads of speed bumps lol) This seems to be the place to be for Z's lately, 2 on the trot! :-/ Anyways, who was it!! lol
  23. haha too true my friend, unfortunately :( .. and this is very VERRY strange because I saw another one!! At the same place today! See above thread lol
