300ZX_DRE

It's not making any grinding noises, or any of the other symptoms in the other threads. Just wont go into 3rd, and when it does it's very high up the rev range. The thing that annoys me the most, is that you get no warnings with these cars, they just suddenly get a problem instantly, it isn't as if you can diagnose something starting to happen. How much are Manual Conversions these days?.. Also, I have seen an Auto box for sale.. for £200.. from clownpants.. but.. say no more. Anywho, anymore advice guys?.. CheerZ

How many gears does the Autobox have on the ZX TT.. is it 3 + Overdrive which = 4?? What speeds should each gear change at?.. provided it is in "NORMAL" anybody know? Finally, the reason for which I am asking, is my car for some unknown reason doesn't seem to change to 3rd?.. it is building up speed, then just revving when I get round 40-50mph.. then once you hit like.. 5k rpms it pulls again and u get power.. but it's revving quite high...and doesnt seem as if its changed inbto 3rd gear yet.. I have checked the autobox fluid levels, they seem to be fine, they even smell like they should... What could be the problem?.. line pressures? any thoughts? thanks in advance Dre

I quite like these, their is an Aristo & a Gs430 where I live tuned up at some car modding place. They are like rocket ships and sound amazing. Very understated.

Si, it does look brilliant mind. I now see why you hardly venture out in it lol, did you get the whole car re-sprayed the Nissan factory pearl white?.. If I was to respray mine, it would probably be in a TVR Pearl white with hints of purple "SpectraFlare" :D .. Also I think the nissan pearl has like a yellowy tinge to it? :-/ it's still lovely, but at times can look a bit dull..

It is quite clearly any car which bares the Superman S on the bonnet lol... But seriously, if you look at the thread with the optional extras as posted by Dave, you can see that the 300zx was well ahead of it's time in many ways, & it isn't just with the extras, but the Performance of the car, and the gimmicks like the HICAS, the Z was quite clearly the start of something special over in Japan and there little Early 90's Supercar Era was born.. and also I am happy in the knowledge of knowing that a well known Supercar manufacturer Lambo' used it's headlights in it's Diablo :D tbh, i'd hope everyone here is passionate about there Z's anyways to think in their own right that it is.. A Supercar :D

I have also had enough, it's been a month now, i've filed a complaint via-paypal & requested my money back, now has to go through the resolution centre. What an absolute joke.

agreed, as paypal has a deadline to report any problems with any transaction, I think it's around a month from the payment being sent/recieved?.. so I really can't be doing with this dragging on any longer than necessary.

Nope, not yet Brian. He did say he had went on holiday & left the items with a friend who was going to post as Santa previously mentioned, but still to no avail.. I appreciate everything you & the club are doing to help us with this matter though :)

Just to add to this, I got an e-mail from him on the 29th of May (Friday), apoligising for the delay, and that he was sending the items I have paid for the next day (Saturday).. They still haven't materialised a week on.. I Hope this gets resolved for all of us soon guys...

well, my car has them on, and mines the same colour as Si's.. I will be getting mine painted to match the car as I personally think they serve not only the purpose of protecting the splashes and stone chips, but when they are colour coded, they really do look nice, and they do go with the lines, as they are moulded to fit to the car anyways, especially the rears. I've attached a pic of some colour coded rears, lovely. - My answer, get them, and colour code them.

The best 2 seater convertible IMO, which technically isn't a convertible more of a Transtop.. Honda Crx Del-Sol SiR. I used to have one of these, and My God! are they Fun & Fast!.. 1.6litre 180bhp Standard engine.. I agree with Daves_Zed, Clearcorners is the only aftermarket lighting I would fit to my Z, you pay that bit extra..but you still get OEM items which they modify to l.e.d. I've attached some pictures of the rear lights from ClearCorners which I was sent when I filled out my order, you can see they still have the reflectors on & they also do an all clear-rear which I think looks pretty good :D

haha, I wonder how they affect the car thoiugh, because from what I can work out.. No manufacturer ever puts them on a car standard, so they can't be that good, or else nissan/subaru e.t.c would have fitted them standard...?
