I have had a quick look through the searches yet I couldn't find anyting in releation to the noise I am getting from my car... Basically, as of last night.. I was driving into a car park, I turned full lock fairly quickly.. The steering wheel felt a little bit harder to turn for a second or 2.. then it went back to normal.. I straightened it up in the bay, but then I could hear like a "whirring/buzzing" noise as I turned the wheel, like the steering pump is working hard.. it's never done this before and I was wondering why it was doing it.. My levels are fine, no hicas warning light & tyre pressures are spot on... Any thoughts or ideas guys?

as far as i'm aware, a car which has been maintained shouldn't lose any power at all.. and an older/broken in engine will respond better to modifications. But I remember that episode of Top Gear too, and they did happen to use 3 ITALIAN Supercars, and Italian reliability is as good as.... However, I do recall another episode of Top Gear where they bought used cars for under 2k? and the verdict was.. if your going to buy used.. Buy Japanese...

lol Si.. I only like the colour.. his taste is bad I agree.. but he has the same chrome rings around his clocks as you!.. although he couldn't decide on a colour choice for the dials as he has white fronts and black turbo / oil gauge dials :rofl:

I quite like it, but then i'm always weary of cars which have been "modified" and are now for sale..because they generally have been thrashed lol..

i'm just reading the description.. did they ever do cupholders for the ZX?.. and head adjustable headlights.. I know the fogs are adjustable...

also, while i'm on about induction kits.. This pic I have attached.. ignore the Red Rings!... Has 2 induction kits?.. how is that possible?

I found this website ages ago.. and it says something I can't get my head around...http://www.torquecars.com/nissan/300zx-tuning.php .. one of the paragraphs reads "An induction kit will help increase power.. blah blah..remember to get a cold air intake fitted as well"..... What is the difference between an induction kit & a cold air intake?? is there one?? aren't they the same thing??

in my experience.. it's like all the "custom" jobbys are extremely loud.. powerflow.. longlife.. they mustn't put as much "stuff" in the baffles.. if you want to quieten it down.. only thing i can think of would be open it up and put some more "stuff" in.. which Is a nightmare and I wouldn't recommend it.. or put another silencer in the line lol...

so is it just the cone that you get?...

mine is a little lazy upto 25mph.. it sticks to begin with.. then it flicks up really fast...lol

What is so special about the Apexi intake?.. Is it just the Cone or a full system? - Because if it's just the cone... then how can it differ from any other Cone.. i'm assuming they would all have the same structure and be made from simila materials?..

this is not a picture of my cars engine bay... BUT.. I would just like to know what the parts are that I have circled.. as I can't find a Haynes manual/site which tells me what all of the engine components are... The Bottom right one has "coolant" on it.. i'm guessing this is for the radiator.. some sort of overflow tank?.. but it doesn't have any levels on it so I can tell how much is in it?... And the top one.. is just a little metal container thingy.. lol.. can someone tell me what they are for please :) Also.. if anyone could direct me to a link where It has an explanation of engine bay items that would be great.. and finally.. do the rear washer jets share the same tank as the front? cheers
