Mine were both studs IIRC and nuts. I think you may have had the same problem i had where the threads have stripped out the gearbox. I can come and have a look if you need a hand. Marty

Engine builders quick question
Could you give me some advise on rebuilding my engine. Ive got it all stripped and need to work on the heads and block ready for new gaskets and reassemble. Will working the heads and block with 1500 wet and dry do the job until i have shiny surfaces to rebuild. Or would it be better to take the heads to be skimmed and would i need to take all the valves out to do this. Any help and advise would be good thanks Marty

thread size on flywheel bolts
Not sure if this would work on the 27mm damper bolt as the engine was turning and i needed to stop it :)
-
thread size on flywheel bolts
i just needed to get some M10 bolts in there to hold the flywheel steady so i could get the damper off the other end as its on the spare engine. All done now will be getting Nismo flywheel bolts much cheaper

cooling system
sounds like plenum bypass just done mine the coolant pipes should bypass the plenum and throttle bodies and then run straight to the turbos instead
