  2. What would cause the det sensor to melt as ive been stripping the spare engine and the det sensor is in a right state. The engine failed on the head gasket Marty
  3. Yeah ive got some Nismo ones sourced but i just needed to get some bolts to hold the flywheel on so i could get the damper off the other end done now :)
  4. Can someone tell me what size thread the flywheel bolts are as im just looking to mount the flywheel so that i can get the damper off the other end. Cheers Marty

  9. I was thinking that as im going to remove the rear wiper so it wont be needed plus it is a hole to get from inside the car to outside

  11. Anyone with any ideas on this there is 3 wires that go into the steering wheel on the slip ring green, white and yellow which ones are needed for the horn?
  12. Just been reading am i right in thinking that the horn only has a neg at the steering wheel to work?
  13. Hi folks ive got the steering wheel off at the moment and was trying to work out which wire is the horn positive. Ive got a green wire and a yellow wire but in the circuit diagrams it says green and white???? Cheers Marty
  14. Id say either the clutch release bearing or the propshaft centre bearing unless you were going to do it yourself would become quite pricey. Did it make the noise with the clutch pressed down? Marty
  15. My trusty 1/2 inch draper torque wrench never fails :) That plus a scaffolding bar on the end of it

  19. Thanks for the replies guys. It only occurred to me as i emailed a good 300zx parts dealer in the US and this is what they had to say. We don't sell AMS pulleys anymore, they use really cheap material for their pulleys, and they wear out very fast, so you will get leaks. The Unorthodox Racing pulley, they use the best material. For Hicas, we have Edge Racing or Powertrix, it's pretty much all the same Marty

  22. I have Toyo proxes on the rear and have been very pleased with them. They aint cheap however i think tyres is one thing that you shouldnt go budget on as it is going to keep you on the road at the end of the day
  23. i had a chain going under each side of the plenum when i lifted mine just pop a couple of coil packs out so you can get it through Marty
  24. Have a look at the search mate the water bypass was posted by JeffTT iirc lots of info on there plus the egr delete is on there too but this will clear up alot of pipework and hoses that are not needed Marty
