  1. Yep, chassis number then, will be something like GCZ32-555555
  2. Loads of stuff like that here :- http://failblog.org/ I check it through Google Reader - cool ...
  3. In that case buy something like this :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-5-External-Hard-Drive-Enclosure-for-IDE-UK-Seller_W0QQitemZ130238507336QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item130238507336&_trksid=p3286.m14.l1318
  4. If you send me a photo of the VIN plate I can usually identify the month the car was manufactured.
  5. It may do but I've never looked into it in any detail. JWT publish a list but it only appears to relate to US models. I can tell most UK/Jap ones from the serial number on the chip inside.
  6. Plug it into your new one, assuming it's the correct interface type.
  7. That is a VERY dangerous argument to have ! ;) LOL
  8. If you're who I think you are, you used an eCheque, which can, according to Paypal, take up to 9 days to clear.
  9. It's a shame I didn't see that car when I was out there. And please don't paint the calipers red !
  10. Look for an air leak. Did you get all the vacumn pipes in the right place ?
  11. In my experience re-socketing is an absolute bitch and to be avoided at all costs. Solder wick is a waste of time - need a sucker.
  12. That's because you needed an expertly socketed ECU ! ;)
  13. Only if you give me the cash to buy 14.5M of them ! ;)
  14. That is a std Nissan chip and is probably a Jap TT Manual of approx 1989.
  15. Actually, I was confusing Fed-Ex with UPS - they take the money off you on the doorstep, just like ParcelFarce.
  16. Fed-Ex pay the tax on behalf of you and then reclaim it. I am surprised you managed to get your goods without paying, normally they are sh!t hot on that.
  17. You can, but the system will automatically drop you back to 'Registered' on the date given.
  18. Depending on the type of battery you may be able to get a new one off eBay for a few £.
  19. Wireless turned on ? Bluetooth turned on ? Faulty battery, faulty charger, faulty phone ....
  20. There aren't exactly many places from which air can escape, setting aside holes in pistons, stuck (open) valves and huuuuge headgasket hole. You sure that it's not something else with an air leak ? Anyway, assuming you know how to use a compression tester, and knowing you then I'm certain you do, then you have to get the mechanic involved. What can you see if you look down the plug hole with a torch ? (know any Docs with an endoscope ? :) ) Does the oil you put in disappear ? Any clues as to whether the valves are moving ?
  21. You can get a gel filled saddle cover for about £8 - makes a huge difference .....
  22. AndyP replied to lisaf's topic in Events - UK
You've not met Brian have you ? I'd like to see you say that to his face (well chest perhaps) !!!! :D
