  1. My odo and speedo packed up, I followed Henri's instructions and they started working again. Pretty straightforward really. Even if you bust them irretrievably then you should be able to get replacements quite easily.

Hmmm, must say I was a little suspicious from the start, but if there is something underhand going on here then the perpetrator has gone to some lengths to cover their tracks. So for the time being I'll give them the benefit of the doubt ...

Probably not a very funny April Fool !
  5. Get one of those dirty great big plumbers monkey wrench type things, put cloth over the nut and tighten the wrench onto it and give it some welly ! Alternatively, what size is the nut ? You may be able to get a big socket and use an impact driver on it.
  6. Years ago when pc's first had sound built-in we recorded the sound of a phone ringing and changed windows to play that wav each time a window was closed. It was bloody hilarious, each time the guy closed a window the phone would ring about 3.5 times, he'd just about get to it and then it would stop. Took him about a hour to suss what we'd done and we nearly all died laughing !
  7. The indicators are beside the fog/spot lights ....
  8. Yes you have - it's that tool you borrowed !
  9. It's an import, right ???? You have to remove the indicators and get to the three 10mm nuts behind the spotlight.
  10. Ohh, you are such a little tinker ! ;)
  11. Like this one will be !

Sounds like a Z31 to me, most people here have Z32's. A good place to ask about this would be on http://www.z-club.net

Hmm, not really in Harlow, just have to go there for work ! ;) There is also Grant in Ongar
  15. I think it will vary on every car. When the light comes on on mine I usually do around 20-25 miles before I fill up. Then it usually takes 60-65 litres. So there is still another 7 approx in the tank. I reckon in my case it's around 2 gallons or 40 miles..
  16. It's written by someone called Graham Rudd :- graham.rudd @ net.ntl.com
  17. No it doesn't, it cuts the injector pulse.
  18. 19. My new clutch got fitted over the weekend. It's an RPS Street, as supplied by Smithy. Feels just the same as the old one. Work was done by a guy just outside Chelmsford as recommended by Mike Feeney. He's a good guy and I would also recommend him for anyone in the approximate area who needs similar work done. BTW turns out that the old clutch was not completely knackered and still had some wear left in it, it's just that the monster torque of the auto engine was more than enough to overcome the clamping force of the standard clutch !
  20. I have done but it's a bit hit & miss. I wouldn't recommend fixing one to sell, only as an emergency measure until a new one could be obtained.
  21. Would be worth contacting these :- http://www.300zx.org.uk/breakers.htm Also, take a look on the Z-Club site :- http://www.z-club.net
  22. Well that's my theory blown then ! I was wondering whether it was the one that used to belong to that Chef called John. I remember him selling it about a year ago
  23. If you put in a chip that is either blank or corupted then nothing much will work and the elec fan will come on immediately
  24. BTW I also have a sneaking suspicion I know who's bidding on it ! ;)
  25. Yes I noticed that this morning and thought it was curious. Still it may have had the rear end changed, or the Wings West kit may include a different rear end, although it doesn't look very different to me, except for the built-in foglights !
