  1. Yeah, crop tops and jodphurs - it's a powerful image ! Actually, there's a polo school near me and you often see the polo totty riding past on a warm summers evening .....
  2. I like it. Go for that bronzey/gold that Nissan use for the new 350Z
  3. Working on the basis that stronger is probably better I'd put it in a half empty tank I think, especially as the Zed has quite a large tank anyway. Mike did say that he'd had some very good results with this, sometimes in a very short period of time, didn't say what type he used though, but I'd guess they all use a similar solvent.
  4. Thanks for that confirmation, as I said it was from memory !
  5. Had a chat with Mike Feeney and he did suggest trying some injector cleaner. The plug was not completely dry, so that may help if the injector is partially blocked. IIRC all the injectors are connected back to pin 58 on the ECU, you could test each one back to that point.
  6. OK, now I've lost the plot. I had hoped that people who were not members and consequently unable to vote would post their details and I'd fudge the numbers, but now I see people who are definitely members have posted - I'm lost ....

Not too difficult and no you don't have to remove the steering wheel. If you search my site there is a link to an article written by Henri leHir which describes how to remove the clocks to repair an odometer problem. The method of removal will be the same.
  8. I believe it was an option.
  9. Maybe they were using a standard reply and didn't really mean "1991-92". Price might be reasonable if they are hoping to find a '95-ish car. Is English their first or second langauge ?
  10. Nissan seem a little foggy about how frequently the gearbox oil should be changed, but they do say that under severe driving conditions for the UK model it should be every 36,000 miles or 24 months. Therefore, taking a reasonable view that most cars are not driven under severe conditions I reckon that changing the oil at the 60,000 service or every 4 years would be sensible. In my experience very few people do this and FWIW my autobox packed up at 30,000 !!! http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/ma/008.gif http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/ma/009.gif
  11. I had a bad batch of fuel from BP once, pretty much exactly the same symptoms - had to drive like a real wuss until it was run through. This must have been bad because my ECU is actually setup for regular unleaded.
  12. IIRC UK tint is blue and Jap is bronze. Difference is quite noticable if you see the two next to each other.
  13. In that case you've just sold 'em to me ! Will be in touch.
  14. Ecu

No need to change ECU, yes it is safe, although in some circumstances it may accelerate turbo seal demise ! Decat pipes can be bought from GPS, Z Centre, MJP etc
  15. At this rate he'll probably settle for 4.5 !
  16. I think my browser must have hiccuped. What I original said was that I thought Vijay had bought those.
  17. Those are the alignment screws. You need to remove the indicators in order to get to the three 10mm nuts on the back of the fog light assemblys. Two minute job.
  18. You'll find some info here :- http://www.300zx.org.uk/mod_comp_1.htm
  19. I've used them quite a lot, but they're just down the road from me. I think they're OK, but opinions may differ based on personal experiences. There is a garage called Westfields that actually specialise in Toyotas who seem pretty good, they are in Rawreth near Rayleigh (Essex) and come fairly highly recommended by the MR2 mob, plus they claim to have done quite a few 300zx turbo replacements without pulling the engine. Then if you're heading even further south there is Z demi-god Darren who is around Kent somewhere. Mark (Topless) has his contact info.

Sounds good ! The squeak is probably the bonnet catch. Bit of grease on the catch or adjustment on the rubber stops should do the trick.

Any decent professional should be able to match it perfectly. You can't be driving around in a smart car with loads of paint chips on it !
  22. Ooops, bugger, forgot about those ! I did fix it so that people with more than one car would be considered .....
  23. Not much I can do about that, but for people unable to vote then post below what you have and I'll fudge the numbers.
