To the best of my knowledge the injectors are all the same 370cc units. There may have been a change around the 1995 model though. That is your chassis number you have there, I can check up the manufacturing date for you when I get home if you want. The model number is on the same VIN plate at the front of the car and will be something like KR6Z32JASHE7

Mine was on a different dyno recently and on the rundown test, they estimated the manual transmission loss at over 20% ! Personally I think that dyno is Donald Ducked becuase one of the bearings makes the most unimaginable squealing racket on the run down. Oddly enough it was a similar figure for MR2's and they should definitely have less loss in the transmission because of the transverse engine/gearbox combination.

btw popping and banging isn't a good thing - it's normally indicative of an air leak, usually on the manifold side !

I think SE stopped using 10w60 becuase it was difficult to get hold of and needlessly expensive. They now (or did last time I was there) seem to use Morris 10w50 fully synth - the same as me. Get it from your local motor factors for about £25 for 5 litres.

Hmmm, well if it was a white MR2 turbo, then there's just a possibility that I installed it .... Clever bit of kit actually, but the control system could be improved upon with a fully mapped ECU. Seems to do the trick as standard though, but you need some setup time on the dyno to get it to work right. Also a little better if you run a water/methanol mix ! ;)

I think all you need do to prove the electric fan is working is disconnect the temp sensor. Of course you can also do it with a Consult/ConZult.

The odd thing was that even at 140+ mph the world doesn't seem to move very fast in that video. I've done up to about 165 on my old bus of a bike and it seemed much faster than that - maybe it's just because you don't get the same sensation of speed in a video, like the eye watering draft around your visor with your helment pressed flat back against your nose etc, not daring to move outside the little air bubble behind the screen incase you get blown off ...

Time to do the sensible stuff that makes a real difference, sort out the suspension and maybe brakes (if yours are bad). I have Tokico adjustable shocks and the Suspension Techniques anti-roll bars - that made a huge difference !

The subscription thing has kind of lapsed a bit at the moment because a) Craig is busy making babies (;)) and b) we raised enough money to fund the server/software. I suspect that sometime in the future we will ask for another, hopefully smaller subscription from everyone, now that we have more members. Does anyone here have a JWT 555 chip ? Who bought the one from eBay recently ? I hear there's people around who know how to copy them, might be worth a try.
