People who drive with their headlights on and it'sunny, just because it was dark when they drove home last night !

... and the ones who refuse to overtake on the safe bits for miles and miles, waiting for somewhere really dangererous, like approaching a blind corner. and the to55ers on roundabouts who a) don't understand how indicators work, b) don't understand which lane to use and c) typically change their mind in the middle - nearly got side swiped by some tw@t like that like night, and the cheeky git had the nerve to give ME the finger when I hooted him FFS !!! (and the bloody stupid people carrier POS had a sign in the back window that said "Dad's Taxi", still better than "Baby on board" I suppose - I always assume that's the driver!)
  4. And rougher tickover and running at low revs due to the fine control of low volume fuel delivery being compromised.
  5. P.J. O'Rourke - what a legend ! Actually, France has a lot going for it, but it's nice that a) it's separated from us by water and b) you can come home afterwards .... ;)
  6. Well, sorry to drone on about the third most boring subject of all (after head lights and oil ;)) but all Jap cars seem to come fitted with PFR6B-11, so does that mean they should stick with those, assuming they're running standard ignition maps and decent fuel. Just curious about what people think really ....
  7. Take a look at the bottom of this page in the online manual :- http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/ma/018.gif According to some of the references inside it specifically covers the Australian and Euopean models. It clearly states that the standard spark plug for a TT is PFR6B-11C whereas in my official, printed Nissan workshop manual, that also specifically covers the Australian and European models, it clearly states that the correct plug is PFR6B-11 ????? Can't they make their minds up ? There is clearly more than one edition. I know that mine is the February 1990 edition, but I don't know what the online version is as that page has not been scanned. Incidentally, mine has more pages in certain sections. In the words of Toyah, "It's a Mythtery" !
  8. Well I'm glad we all agree on that then ! :D
  9. Hehehe at WOT it probably restricts airflow through the intake. I reckon it's most useful function would be to wire it backwards and use it to charge the battery ! LOL :D
  10. As standard it doesn't have any, but you may have a switch secreted away somewhere as part of the Jap/UK conversion - mine is in the panel under the steering wheel.
  11. It's the same as a Gateway Microserver if that helps. I had one of these pass through my hands a while back and the powersupply looks suspiciously similar to a few others. If you can wait a little while I may be able to do some research on the spec/part number. I think you'll find that the part from Sun is outrageously expensive !
  12. These may help :- http://www.300zx.org.uk/engine_out.htm
  13. Me too. Never done a gearbox before, has to be a first time for everything !
  14. Oh I see. Nope, from the web page. It has their whole cataloge in pdf format.

  16. Tell me about it ! Looking for a dead one myself, for a rebuild right now.
  17. Does the car bounce more than once ? Is the shock damping gone and are they leaking oil. As a rough guide if they're done more than 40,000 miles then they almost certainly need replacing. I think rear shocks cost about £30-35 each, not sure about fronts. Camber on the rear wheels can be adjusted, but not on the front if you have standard Nissan parts. Non-standard wheels and springs may well cause camber problems, as will excessively worn (sagging) springs.
  18. Could also be a small vacumn leak. SMW1 had very similar symptoms.
  19. Maybe your shocks are shagged ! It made a big difference when I replaced mine.
  20. It's a hoax. Ignore it and don't delete anything ! http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/hoaxes/jdbgmgr.html
  21. Yep, checkout the electrical connectors on the coilpacks.
  22. 'Course it may depend on which version of Internet Exploder you use ...
  23. In IE, try View/Text Size and set it to something smaller
  24. But front camber is non-adjustable as long as you have standard Nissan suspension.
