Worth checking your pads to see whether they are down to the spring steel wear indicators, as fitted to some types of pad.

Did the PCVs today
Dunno, but they must be there for a reason. My ones are like small brass cylinders with a 5mm or so hole down the middle. I have also seen the Aus guys talk about flame arrestors in them ! They tend to look kind of like wire wool, but thick wire - kind of like a kettle anti-scale thing.

Took the wheels off and .....
Looks to me like it's done by painting the whole lot red and then the raised letters white to me ....

It is possible that if your PCV's are blocked then you will have excessive crankcase pressure, so that could contribute to an oil leak, although I would have thought that it would pop the dipstick out first though.

And they have restrictors in them that have to be transferred from the old hoses.

Rad hose woes...
The plastic side tanks are available from MJP but you then need to get them attached to the metalk part of the rad. Not sure if it's possible to put them on an old rad though.

Now that is definitely your head ! LOL :D I think you'll find a vacumn, not pressure in the fuel tank. Whichever way, it's definitely not pressurised the same as the fuel rail.

Cleaning / lubricating aerials
Eeek ! I would recommend wirewool rather than wet'n'dry, but there you go. Following my same theory as locks I think you should use a dry lubricant (WD40 isn't really a lubricant) so I would suggest some of the PTFE spray stuff that Hairsy was on about a couple of weeks ago. Available from Maplin, Screwfix and probably Harrys too.

Dead easy once you've got the old airbox out !

looks like its over
This thread has been all too serious and a little depressing to be honest so I thought it's time I brought it down to our usual level, whilst still keeping on subject ! The British speech (Lt. Col Tim Collins) "If you are ferocious in battle, remember to be magnanimous in victory. We go to liberate, not to conquer. We are entering Iraq to free a people, and the only flag that will be flown in that ancient land is their own. Don't treat them as refugees, for they are in their own country. If there are casualties of war, then remember, when they woke up and got dressed in the morning they did not plan to die this day. Allow them dignity in death. Bury them properly and mark their graves. You will be shunned unless your conduct is of the highest, for your deeds will follow you down history. Iraq is steeped in history. It is the site of the Garden of Eden, of the Great Flood and the birth of Abraham. Tread lightly there." The US speech (Vice Admiral Timothy Keating) "When the president says 'Go', look out - it's hammer time" (followed by We Will Rock You at high volume)

dimensions of jap spec front no plate?
Mine is standard size but has 66mm letters (motorbike size) to match the back. Looks close enough to standard for no-one to take a second look and as far as I understand, because it's an import it's still legal. ;)

Look what I just bought...
Strewth !

New Z Parts
Spoke to them before when I bought my 99 spec front. very helpful people, but worked out very, very expensive, probably because they airfreight everything. Summat like £1100 from them, £450 from Mike Feeney, but with a multi-week wait for surface freight.

300zx.co.uk FAQ section
Great minds think alike (simple ones seldom differ LOL) As for pictures, we may have an issue with bandwidth at the moment, will need confirmation from Craig/Mike Groves. I think the solution is to load pics onto the rides section, but last time I checked that was still Donald Ducked and there's nothing I can do to fix it.

300zx.co.uk FAQ section
Hehe, my site won't be redundant, it's accessed by Zeders throughout the world - I'm always surprised where when I look at the stats too. So anything on here I would provide links to as well, so that would probably imcrease the number of readers. Anything we publish has to be of appropriate quality and accuracy, so smelling errors and technical up-cocks need to be elimininated if it is to be used and respected.

looks like its over
Not wishing to stir things further but it's worth remembering that the 'political' reasons for starting this in the first place were not to liberate the people of Iraq but to protect the west from the danger of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. I am absolutely delighted to see a few hundred, of the several million, Iraqi people celebrating the recent events, but this is primarily the western propoganda machine justifying their actions retrospectively and trying to make us forget about the death toll so far. Anyway, now that Sadams reigeme seems to have collapsed the real work has to start. Let's hope they manage to evolve their own democratic leadership and we don't see the type of events as seen in Belfast over the past 30 years. Definitely a time to be positive anyway.
