NZR : Where can I get silicon lubricant ?
They also sell it at http://www.screwfix.com It's used for lubricating saw blades, lathe beds etc. I use it for both of the above, plus stuff like electric aerials etc

Nope, I'm afraid you''ll need to write that in English ....

What a f'kin day :'(
Had a similar problem and it wasn't down to a faulty m/c. Air gets trapped in the m/c and bleeding is tricky, but it can be done.

350z on 5t6h Gear ?
I'm pretty certain that there is a 350z in that nice orange/bronzey colour in the new title sequence of 5th Gear.

Not many good ones because my method of taking these is seriously low-tech, but here are a couple.

You guys are so cruel, I may do a seach back to find out when you each first asked about headlight bulbs, or oil type ! LOL :D

Just tried to do an ECU diagnostic
Short (joke intended) answer is don't know !!!! But it doesn't matter becaase if you look at the plug one end has a block of 2 connectors and the other a block of 4 (with the tapered corners). Once you see that you can work out which pins to short. Andy

Why Zeds r so cheap ?
Cheap, cheap ?!? I fecking paid £15K for my import and that was at the time when an identical UK car was £19k for at least double the mileage. Oh well, it's only money. Just think about how much you pay in tax, repair and fuel. When taken in proportion, against the value of the car, I'm paying far less then you guys - LOL :D Take pity on the people who bought brand spanking UK cars at £34K !!!!

This is a tad concerning !
Your laptop will be nicking your beer soon ! :D http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/2847679.stm

gutted beyond description
Should always make sure you have a few turns of PTFE tape on joints like that - much better than attempting to do the same with gasket goo.

Despair, utter black despair.
Well you know what these rusty UK spec models are like ! LOL :D And they say that the Jap spec ones are not undersealed - what rot (sic) LOL :D

they have hit the boyracer price range
Bugger - this merging of threads ain't as simple as it looks. Oh the responsibilities and pressures of being a moderator !!! LOL

water pump
Working on the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" then I'd do nothing. FWIW my waterpump failed at 42,000 and the cambelt was done at that time (it was due in terms of time rather than miles anyway).

Thanks Andy !!!!
You're not out of the woods yet, all I did was find a problem you didn't know you had !!! ;) You now have to replace the O2 sensor (which can be fun) and we still have to get the TPS set correctly and the tickover dead on - at the moment I don't think you're actually getting full throttle ! As for O2 sensors, you would obviously need the driver side (from a US car) There are probably a few other parts that you could get at the same time like PCV's and hoses. A handfull of the dashboard trim bits (http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=CP&Category_Code=Int_trim) because people are always asking for these, they cost naff all and weigh naff all. A bucketfull of oil drain plug washers, because they're bound to be cheaper than here. Incidentally, I bought my floor mats from http://www.japaneseaccessories.com/, but their web site seems to be AWOL right now. PS I do like people who leave crates of Guinness behind ! :D

Despair, utter black despair.
For a fraction of that price you could get new end-to-end Goodrich hoses made up and route them by the most appropriate method to bypass the old rusty ones. There's a couple of people on here in your approximate area that may be able to help or direct you to a local company.

NangKang Tyres
If you're happy with them then that's great. I did have a mooch through that site (http://www.mytyres.co.uk) and may not have found the same test as you, but what I would say is, in which category are they highly rated? Is is the fat, lardy arsed, 300bhp sports car that can do 160+ or the light, nimble, 120bhp hot hatch that's raced round Tesco's car park of an evening ? Just horses for courses that's all. Too much of this is subjective anyway. Certain people told me that F1's are the daddy, so when I was looking for new tyres I asked Mike Feeney for his opinion and he didn't rate them at all. If you ask Pete at SE then he'll tell all the poor people to buy stuff like Falkens, but he'd much rather see every Z on the road with Bridgestones, just because in his opinion they suit the car best. Like I said - it's subjective.

You must see this.........Dodgy Z Sales (In my opinion)
Careful please - don't want to have to 'moderate' anybody on this thread !
