  1. Macca has red everything - even nail varnish ! LOL :D
  2. So presumably we should be doing the same for them.
  3. Well if you sell it privately you may get £5-6K, so you can see their point - would they really want to sell a 10 year old Nissan, when they have brand spanking TVR's on the forecourt ?
  4. Of course I'm not - the source is spoofed ! It means that someone who has that email address in their address book has been infected and the virus is using my address as the spoofed originating address. Delete and ignore (plus keep your AV s/w up to date!)
  5. The import gauge is in metric and calibrated in 100mmHg and the UK one in PSI. 700mmHg is approximately equal to 14psi.

Too right, where is he ? Oh we couldn't afford him of course ! LOL :D

It's an additive in as much as you add it to the engine oil and it's supposed to reduce friction etc etc etc. Whether the conditions under which they demonstrate it actually exist in an engine is probably a different matter. Incidentally, I don't really believe the Magnatec claims either ! ;)
  8. Not sure all plug manufacturers use the heat rating the same way. This is NGK's :- http://www.300zx.org.uk/partnumberkey.pdf And Denso :- http://www.densoiridium.com/identifyplugs.htm

    The manual says this :-

Enough already ! Not everyone knows the full story. No more insults, name calling or jumping to conclusions please. Hopefully this will have a satisfactory outcome for all - in due course.

This has been discussed a few times before, try a search. My general opinion is that if manufacturers believed that these products really worked then they would be included in the oil to start with. Of course they want to sell more oil, at more profit so maybe, just maybe it's not commercially viable. However, that said I have tried one of these before, can't remember which one but it's in a blue/yellow bottle in Halfords for about £16. IMO it made bugger all difference, except to my wallet.
  13. Blimey, I just thought you lot'd been playing with your felt tips ! LOL :D
  14. Agree with Paul on this - you need to be checking whether there's a spark or not.
  15. You also get charged VAT on the shipping cost, not just the cost of the goods !
  16. Now you are "one", or are you ????? http://www.greatscott.com/hiero/eye.html
  17. Just go to a MotorFactor and get oil hose with the correct internal diameter, they sell it by the metre.
  18. Can't remember to be honest !
  19. Yup - it's electrical. The sender sits just inside the engine bay on the drivers side. Follow one of the vacumn pipes off the balance bar to a little grey box ...
  20. If the HICAS light comes on after driving in a straight line for a while it's usually because the steering wheel is off centre.
  21. You don't wanna be doing this - trust me ! The clutch feels very wierd if the tanks are not connected. Basicaly what happens is that as you rev the engine and the vacumn/pressure changes then the clutch perdal pushes back at you. Blipping the throttle whilst changing down gives a very unsettling sensation ! Anyway, there are pics in the online manual that show the arrangement of the vac hosing :- http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/cl/005.gif http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/cl/006.gif
  22. Number One Idiot of 2003 I am a medical student currently doing a rotation in toxicology at the poison control center. Today, this woman called in very upset because she caught her little daughter eating ants. I quickly reassured her that the ants are not harmful and there would be no need to bring her daughter into the hospital. She calmed down and at the end of the conversation happened to mention that she gave her daughter some ant poison to eat in order to kill the ants. I told her that she better bring her daughter into the Emergency room right away. Here's your sign, lady. Wear it with pride.* * * ** -----------------------------------------------------------------* * * ** Number Two Idiot of 2003 Early this year, some Boeing employees on the airfield decided to steal a life raft from one of the 747s. They were successful in getting it out of the plane and home. Shortly after they took it for a float on the river, they noticed a Coast Guard helicopter coming towards them. It turned out that the chopper was homing in on the emergency locator beacon that activated when the raft was inflated. They are no longer employed at Boeing. Here's your sign, guys. Don't get it wet; the paint might run. ------------------------------------------------------------ Number Three Idiot of 2003 A man, wanting to rob a downtown Bank of America, walked into the Branch and wrote "this iz a stikkup. Put all your muny in this bag." While standing in line, waiting to give his note to the teller, he began to worry that someone had seen him write the note and might call the police before he reached the teller's window. So he left the Bank of America and crossed the street to the Wells Fargo Bank. After waiting a few minutes in line, he handed his note to the Wells Fargo teller. She read it and, surmising from his spelling errors that he wasn't the brightest light in the harbor, told him that she could not accept his stickup note because it was written on a Bank of America deposit slip and that he would either have to fill out a Wells Fargo deposit slip or go back to Bank of America. Looking somewhat defeated, the man said, "OK" and left. He was arrested a few minutes later, as he was waiting in line back at Bank of America. Don't bother with this guy's sign. He probably couldn't read it anyway. ----------------------------------------------------------------* * * * Number Four Idiot of 2003 A motorist was unknowingly caught in an automated speed trap that measured his speed using radar and photographed his car. He later received in the mail a ticket for $40 and a photo of his car. Instead of payment, he sent the police department a photograph of $40. Several days later, he received a letter from the police that contained another picture, this time of handcuffs. He immediately mailed in his $40. Another sign (though this guy might be onto something worth thinking about)! -----------------------------------------------------------------* * * ** Number Five Idiot of 2003 A guy walked into a little corner store with a shotgun and demanded all of the cash from the cash drawer. After the cashier put the cash in a bag, the robber saw a bottle of Scotch that he wanted behind the counter on the shelf. He told the cashier to put it in the bag as well, but the cashier refused and said, "Because I don't believe you are over 21." The robber said he was, but the clerk still refused to give it to him because he didn't believe him. At this point, the robber took his driver's license out of his wallet and gave it to the clerk. The clerk looked it over and agreed that the man was in fact over 21 and he put the Scotch in the bag. The robber then ran from the store with his loot. The cashier promptly called the police and gave the name and address of the robber that he got off the license. They arrested the robber two hours later. This guy definitely needs a sign. --------------------------------------------------------------- Idiot Number Six of 2003 A pair of Michigan robbers entered a record shop nervously waving revolvers. The first one shouted, "Nobody move!" When his partner moved, the startled first bandit shot him. This guy doesn't need a sign; he probably figured it out himself. --------------------------------------------------------------- Idiot Number Seven of 2003 Arkansas: Seems this guy wanted some beer pretty badly. He decided that he'd just throw a cinder block through a liquor store window, grab some booze, and run. So he lifted the cinder block and heaved it over his head at the window. The cinder block bounced back and hit the would-be thief on the head, knocking him unconscious. It seems the liquor store window was made of Plexi-Glass. The whole event was caught on videotape. Oh, that smarts. Give him his sign! --------------------------------------------------------------- Please note that all of the above people are allowed to vote.
  23. Apexi Nissan Multi Checker Sounds good, dunno for certain whether it works with a Z32 - suspect it does but maybe not all functions will be supported.
  24. I went to my local Motorquip parts place. Told them what it was for, discussed which model (eg capacity) would be best and he got it out the back of the storeroom. I noticed the terminals were the wrong way around and he said "OK, you'll need the other model then" and brought the correct one. Easy really.
  25. Hairdryer doesn't really get hot enough - you need one of those hot air guns. Need to be careful about geting the molten sealant on your hands too - it chuffin' hurts !!
