  1. Auto boxes break (in various ways) Manual boxes wear out synchros and clutches. Both are expensive to repair, but autos probably more so. Also when an auto breaks it's usually a tow truck home, when a manual goes you can usually manage to drive for a while without synchro, or a gear or two or even a clutch if it's really desperate ... Your choice
  2. I've used the Morris 10w50 for a few years now and all is still well. Oilman reviewed the spec and reckoned it looked better than average.

Was just about to do that ...
  4. Bit too OTT for my liking, kind of loses or perhaps hides, the underlying style of the original car.
  5. Yes, it may be approaching time to change that ....
  6. Admiral don't like new customers with modded cars. They seem to be OK if you do small mods before you renew though.
  7. So would it really still work with the autobox in 'park' ?

Sure you got the number right ? 30-96-97 2506459 Like Macca said, try a zero in front.
  9. There seems to be no connection to the ECU for the cat temp sensors. I just disconnected mine and tucked them up under the carpet.

Thanks all (not that the competition was very strong!) ;) Great idea Steve, will the Z club be paying for us both, because from what I can tell so far we won't be funding it ! LOL
  11. Excellent plan, has been suggested several times before. So how about someone creates a PDF/Word/whatever file and we provide a link to it from the forum. Volunteers ?
  12. I think I just caught sight of the wheel police lurking in the background ! LOL :D
  13. Have a look here :- http://www.ttzd.com/tech/brakestech.html
  14. Yeah, costs the same should your number plate have changed too.
  15. LOL - if only it were that finished ! ;)
  16. If you're getting vibes over 50mph then it may not be warped discs, that would cause a sort of pulsing effect when you've braking gently at low speed. Vibes when braking at higher speeds are often caused by worn bushes on the tie rods.
  17. The problem you will have is identifying all the places you used your AOL email address and then changing that to your new address - it's a pain. Aside from that it's easy.
  18. Nah, bolt it on and go for a blast. Plus, of course, if it is pukka stainless then water onside wouldn't make it corrode !
  19. The Nissan one ! Check the online manual.
  20. Think so.
  21. Diana Rigg, one of the horniest women ever - just see her in the original Avengers series. Unfortunately I can't find any really good pics :(
  22. Repeat after me, AOL is Evil, AOL is Evil. Run away, don't touch it and NEVER ask a computing person to help you should you stupidly decide to use it !
  23. Those double sided sticky pads work well.

Heard about this from a bloke at work. The beer thing was bad, but so was the sweat suit gig. Disgusting ....
  25. They look very different :-
