  1. Errr, yeah, actually. The sills are starting to look a bit dodgy - combination of rust and clumsy jacking I'd say. And it is seriously, much, much, much worse than mine.
  2. Am planning to be there on Sunday 29th. Anyone else from the NW up for it ?
  3. It's weight saving of a different form. Had a look at the underneath of your car on Saturday Macca and by this time next year most of it will have rusted away !
  4. There are normally copper washers (that should not be re-used) on the banjo type joints.
  5. If it still works OK, then top it up pronto and take it from there. Definitey worth a check underneath for leaks though ...
  6. No, exactly equal voltages is not important, what matters is that they are both changing from low-high and vice versa at roughly the same speed.

I think it is possible, but only if you've done it the hard way first to know where all the screws are, plus you've left one or two of the more difficult ones out and it's an auto.
  8. Yeah, that's right, she has a 350 with the standard wheels. Looks like Z32 have offsets of 45mm front and 35mm rear, so not quite right, also I'd probably want wider than 8.5" rears. 8" fronts would have been OK though ....
  9. It was nice of Vinz's twin brother to turn up and give him away !
  10. My understanding is (after having discussed with PeteR) that one of the causes of smoking like this is that oil is drawn throgh the turbo shaft oil seals and collects in a dip in the pipe after the turbos. When you then give it some welly that small puddle is blown down the exhaust into the hot cats which produces a plume of smoke. This may help explain why mine smoked less after having been de-catted. Does this seem feasible ?
  11. Eh ? Boost creates pressure in the inlet manifold, not the crankcase. The valves are one-way and that's crankcase to inlet, not the other way round, right ?
  12. Tell me when you're next around and I'll see what I can do. Evenings are usually OK, weekends will be a bit hit 'n' miss.
  13. Sounds like an electrical connection thing to me, but the senders are dead cheap, and considering their importance to the correct running of the car I'd just buy another (+ the loom)
  14. No, I am moderately serious, becuase I've noticed that a few of the 350z geezers are swapping over either their standard or Rays alloys for something new. I just missed a pukka set (including decent tyres) for £800. I've been driving the 350 recently and it's made me realise how nice it is to have great brakes, so the longer term plan is a Brembo (or similar) upgrade. From memory the PCD is right, maybe I'll have a quick fitting test tonight ...
  15. Anyone know the wheel offsets for a 350z ? I feel a cunning plan forming .... Hmmm, nice big shiny Brembo's too (wonder whether she'll notice when she gets back!) LOL ;)
  16. "You don't think they're laughing at my shorts, do you ?"
  17. Well we had a big flag pole with two flags (not sure who provided it now, but many thanks anyway), plus we also had two reasonably sized banners, so hopefully our presence won't have been missed.
  18. Garry, If you spent your own money on sorting stuff for the club, then firstly we would all like to thank you and secondy we will refund those costs. Please speak to the Club Sec. and we will arrange for a payment to be made to you. Thanks for helping to make the event a success.
  19. I suspect you just have a sticky O2 sensor, unless you're going for wild tuning then replacing it with a standard one is probably most appropriate.
  20. So does the UK odometer have different gearing, or is there another change that can be made to the circuit board that'll make it read in miles ?
  21. Near Great Dunmow. I also have a spare PTU should you want to try it out.
  22. Hmmm, sounds like a possible PTU prob to me. I have a ConZult and I'm not that far away ...
  23. Nope, it's pretty straight forward, just do it.
