lymon Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Was the engine on ? (HICAS needs hydraulic pressure from the pump to be able to operate) If it was, then there's probably something wrong with your HICAS system -Eric Quote
mrogers Posted August 24, 2004 Author Posted August 24, 2004 yeh engine was on. any problems with hicas not working. Quote
vijay Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Hi Eric, I had the same thing on 2 cars I tried and couldn't get it to work :( Vijay Quote
lymon Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Vijay, was it showing readings of the sensors ? And what version of the software did you use ? (v2.0 should work fine..there were problems with v1.2 and v1.3) I had a chance to test/demonstrate it on quite a few cars at Billing and it worked fine for most Zeds. (except for the ones that had HICAS disabled or those that were known to be faulty) It even worked fine on a few Skylines I demonstrated the conzult on :) -Eric Quote
AndyP Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 So would it really still work with the autobox in 'park' ? Quote
vijay Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Hi Eric, I haven't tried it on ver 2.0. Vijay Quote
lymon Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 >>yeh engine was on. any problems with hicas not working. It shouldn't cause any problems, unless the rear wheels are locked in an incorrect position or when the HICAS rear power cylinder is allowing too much free movement on the rear wheels >>So would it really still work with the autobox in 'park' ? Yes, for autos put the gearbox to "P", for manuals put gearbox in neutral -Eric Quote
ChrisC Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 You could do the standard Nissan HICAS test to check if it's working. That would tell you if it's a HICAS fault or a Conzult problem ;) Here you go: http://www.ttzd.com/tech/hicastech.html Quote
syko Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 does the consult do the auto box diagnostics as I have seen the menu but it doesn't work, ...........unless it has to be plugged in somewhere else Quote
