  1. Wouldn't it be cheaper to get it fixed in Basildon somewhere ?
  2. AndyP replied to a post in a topic in General Discussions - Non 300ZX
Dammit - I knew there was something I had to do today .... :(
  3. I have been thinking about this too, and I even tested it with my IBM Thinkpad, the result is that when it's in either standby or hibernation then the bluetooth is off.
  4. Doesn't seem to list any details, but looks like it was manufactured in Oct '89.
  5. Not according to Nissan ! I wouldn't say that the database is guaranteed 100% accurate, but it's most likely that it's already been converted (or it's a ringer!).
  6. You'll find loads of clues here :- http://www.300zx.org.uk/import_dating.htm But, my research indicates that your car was manufactured in March 1990 and is a black, TT, auto, grey interior, 2+2, taga top ! (and the ashtray needs emptying lol ;))
  7. Yep, USB 2.0 should be backwards compatible with USB 1.0. just works a bit slower.
  8. And Olympus are renowned for having among the best optics on digital cameras. I still have one of the very old 1.3 mp ones (that cost £700 at the time  ), but it was the first to have proper glass optics, many of the others are plastic.
  9. The C765 is about £205 on Amazon at the moment - bargain !
  10. Seriously consider the Olympus C765-UZ, C750-UZ or C770-UZ. Damn good cameras, 4mega pixel and 10x optical zoom PLUS 4 x digital zoom.
  11. IMO a 2nd head gasket failure is not bad luck, there is a reason for it and that's what needs to be tracked down, especially if it's in the same place.
  12. The pic can be located anywhere on the web, but obviously not on your local hard disk. The coding you have would be correct if you used a proper URL.

Erm dunno. Was a last minute decision as someone else dropped out. Just got a call and said "OK, I'll go".
  14. Who invited Gordon Ramsay then ?
  15. Brown sludge is not always a problem. However, if it looks like mayonaise then you probably have a failing head gasket ! Don't worry too much about the expansion tank for the moment. Probably worth reverse flushing the cooling system and checking the radiator cap is sealing properly though.
  16. Hmm, thought I did that at the time - sorry. Done now anyway.
  17. When the money has arrived and I change your subscriptiopn status I'll change your username at the same time.

I'm already booked up for this, going with a mate of mine, not sure which car we're taking yet, but will be there from Thurs to Sun.
  19. Having a hardware firewall on your router does not preclude the requirement for a s/w one on the client - do both. I'd suggest the free version of Zonealarm.
  20. Sorry, been away, busy etc etc. Not caught up with everything yet. It's Xmas soon isn't it ? ;)
  21. Received your cheque, but no note to let me know your forum name.
  22. Ahh, so it was you .... Now I just have to track down the person who sent me a cheque and no details whatsoever .....
