  1. I have a pair of 80w (or is it 85w) bulbs as supplied by Leigh in the traders section. That along with the internally cleaned lenses and reflectors means that my dipped lights are fine. I have had cars with better lights (not new HID ones admittedly) but they are perfectly adequate 99% of the time.
  2. The inside of your headlights may need cleaning, they can get pretty grubby after a few years. It's also possible that one of them has been replaced, so they're not of exactly the same age.

I have seen quite a few cars with plastic studs holding the VIN plate on, I think it's quite normal. I think they were all UK models.
  5. How would it be slower, now that I have a direct connection between the crank and the rear wheels? True, on a different dyno, on a different day etc etc I get a different number, but it certainly doesn't feel slower. Whatever makes you happy, I changed my autobox for a manual and have never once regretted it.
  6. Nope, quite happy with my manual box, although the 'fast road' auto I had was a significant improvement on my previous dying auto.
  7. So it's the 'most powerfull' autobox available huh ? Do you just mean that it saps slightly less power than the other auto boxes ? :D
  8. We have run out of internal stickers, Mike is getting more made up at the moment.

Received today from info@zclubhungary.hu Dear Z Club Presidents and Fellow Z Club members! According to my previous invitation notion for the next year European Z Club gathering in Hungary, please let me know your feedback on the mentioned subject. Your response is very important to us, either positive or negative, because we have to proceed with the preparations in due time for the sake of a significant Z event. Up to date we have received preliminary participation numbers from Swiss club only. It would therefore be really appreciated if your voice could be heard on the proposed notion, before I dig myself too deeply into the fallowing actions. May the Z force be with you … With Regards Sándor President of Z Club Hungary

Congrats and well done. Can you update the Club Sec contact details please. Ta
  11. Lifesure. Don't think they insure young'uns though. Can't remember the underwriter right now.
  12. Alwys used to havre a great reputation, not heard a great deal about them recently though. But there again I seldom read the PC rags.
  13. Maybe I'm missing the point here, and having Lambo-ish style doors is all pretty cool and that, but the only time anyone will know about it is if you go around leaving the doors open - and how often do you do that ?
  14. OK, well I've been busy recently and don't get the tiome to read every post these days - that's my excuse anyway ...
  15. Was sent this by one of the Aus guys. Looks like it might be pretty helpful for all those of you with dodgy, inaccurate water temp gauges ! http://www.heirloomrockinghorses.com/zx_page_3.htm And dead easy to make too ...
  16. It would probably have been imported/registered at the same time.
  17. There is a limit to the image size, so make sure they're not too large. Can't remember exactly what it is at the mo, so try keeping them under 250Kb.

Yep, deffo got your payment and as you can see you have been set to 'subscribed' automatically.
  19. Gimmie some clues - like your name ! Anyway, just checked and nothing new there. Inter-bank payments typically take about 5 working days.
  20. The power steering is speed sensitive, so if you've bust something in there then that would be a typical symptom. Soooooooo, what you need to do is take it apart again and make sure you connected everything correctly - especially the input from the speed sensor.
  21. There is nothing more credible than a street sleeper like a Xantia. You can say all you want about Volvos etc, but people will always hate them. A Citroen has that 'underground' feel to it, so you's always, distant, cool and hip. Plus it's cheap as chips ! Seriously, these cars are invisible, nobody even wakes up as you drive past and you never ger pulled !
  22. Cut the crap, if you're serious (and comitted) then go for it. I will be voting for the person I consider to be most appropriate.
  23. So, Rhiannon , it's the name or a white witch, right ? Nothing personal. I think Fleetwood Mac, made the same mistake.
  24. In my opinion all cheap plasma screens are poor quality at the moment. LCD is better, but still smaller. Some of the rear projection ones are quite good, but it depends how hung up on having a thin device you are. Anyway, it may all change soon(ish) :- http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/11/24/lcd_breakthrough/
  25. A Consult test only really checks the electrical sesnors. It cannot tell whether the cam timing is incorrect, nor if the ignition timing is not set correctly at the base level of 15 deg BTDC. So as people said, check for boost leaks, check the air filter and check the ignition timing with a strobe light. Make sure you use good fuel and there is always a possibility that the catalysts are becomming blocked - best to remove them altogether ! ;)
