  1. Dunno, never tried it that way. The ECUs look identical, but who knows whether Nissan (who were far more interested in engineering than building cost effective cars) would have developed two separate ECUs. They certainly wouldn't these days.
  2. Yep, and it worked. It was an auto TT into a manual NA.
  3. Yep, they certainly seem to be.

Not much changed for me, still in the same place, same job, still got the Z, although it's been relegated to an occasional car now that I do tons of miles in a diesel Xantia ! However, there is a tentative Xantia replacement plan which involves a similarly sensible car but with about the same torque as a Z !
  5. Nope, bolt straight on, look quite good too. And then you could fit some pukka brakes too !
  6. Now look here, I don't that sort of abuse here, I can stay at work for that ! Anyway, just went and had a look at the sticker and with very careful scrutiny with a torch you can just about make out 2.3 and 2.5 which is in Kg/cm or course - just to keep you on your toes. That must be front/rear, obviously for the 225/50R16 tyre size only. And furthermore, it seems to show 4.2, which must be for the spacesaver.
  7. Yes, they do fit, dunno the offsets offhand though.

Long time to see. How you doing these days ?
  9. On mine the sticker is there but the print has faded to nothing ....
  10. I think his insurance would be but you are the third party and so are still covered - if that makes sense.
  11. I've got a BlitZ SBC-Id and I think it's prtty good. Multiple boost settings, overboost alarm and cut, built in boost gauge with clever compressed trend graph plus about two dozen settings that I don't remember/don't use/can be bothered to work out ! You can also get the matching Powermeter that estimates horsepower and provides more pretty graphs etc etc
  12. I reckon that either you have the recirc button on, or you have a leak in the heater matrix (or both!)
  13. I once sold a newspaper to Michael Heseltine ! Somehow I doubt he'll remember me though ....
  14. I'm leaving mine as is, unless you're a business seller who can claim VAT back then I don't see how it can matter to you.
  15. I think the real difference is to their privacy policy. The VAT structure is theirs, not yours (I think).
  16. Set of these :- http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/69136-r33-gtr-wheels-tyres.html Can't go wrong ...

  18. Sounds like the "drink your way around the Monopoly board" game !
  19. It does seem a little, erm ... exposed !
  20. Maybe the tacho is wrong and it's hitting the 7000rpm rev limiter ...
  21. Not complicated, Skyline wheels, Skyline brakes - easy peasy ...
  22. Whilst I think that guns are generally completely unecessary most of the time, you have to remember that mostly it's not the gun that causes the problem, it's the person holding it. Same argument for fast cars ...
  23. Not exactly, but a combination of the two would probably be best.
  24. No, he's saying that the MOT does not check for them (other than alignment), but technically they are still illegal to fit. Much like MOT only checks for numberplate spacing but not font, although funny fonts are illegal.
