It should be automatic but occasionally it goes wrong. I've been on holiday - I'll catch up with the manual payments this evening.

Nobody answered because I've been on holiday ! Over the past few years several people have complained about the same time out problem but no one has come up with an explanation. In that time we have had many hundreds of payments that do work, so I still believe it's something specific to a client config. I'll be catching up with the manual payments this evening (hopefully).

It's possible that the speedo problem is due to a bad connection rather than a broken sender. Remove the speedo unit and check over the back of the circuit board for anything that looks dodgy.

I would expect fibreglass ones to get damaged by stones etc being thrown up, that's probably why the original ones are rubber.

I disagree, you'll find them in those places because they have some excellent desktop publishing and graphics manipulation software - not much else.

As long as the two halves of the caliper have not moved then I'd put the two bolts back in and torque them up again. Test the brakes and check very carefully all round for leaks, if there are none then you should be ok. This isn't rocket science, it's two bolts holding two pieces of casting together. I reckon if you undid the bolts and tried to split the two castings by hand you'd have a job to do so, especially as they will have been in place for about 15 years or more. I did exactly the same to one of my Citroen calipers once, this one actually fell apart so I cleaned up the two mating faces, put a smear of hardening gasket compound on them, bolted them up again and it's been fine ever since. Admitedly, the Citroen caliper is a little more (ahem) 'basic' than the Nissan one, but the principle is the same.

Sitting watching an LG 44" DLP right now. Pretty good, only downside is the viewing angle is a bit limited and the screen isn't as bright as you'd hope.

Aside from the fact that your not measuring accurately, the most likely cause is short journeys in cold weather and faulty O2 sensors.

Problem is there are too many news stations and too little news. If you live even remotely near London then you get the same news twice for 'local' and national news ... very tedious. Still, if you compare what the US news is like ours is brilliant. To them international news is what happened in the next state.

The good news is it's a lot easier to fix there than down the back of the engine.

I've never used the dyno at Thurston so I don't know how 'accurate' it is. I'm sure Mike would have an opinion on that. However, you certainly have a significant dip in the power. Did Mike check the base timing with a timing light and is the CAS in a 'sensible place' ie with the screw in the middle of the slot ? Is the cam timing correct and are the variable cam timing soleniods working ?
