Before you get carried away with all this, the raffle prize is there to be claimed by the winner of that prize and in this case the prize was £150 to be spent with a forum trader. This means the winner has to spend £150 with that forum trader and the way this usually works is that we send the money to the trader, the winner pays any difference over and above etc. So far we have not been notified of any claim from either the winner, or a trader that the prize has been 'used'. So it ain't my fault, right ! ;) Whether we also gave him his free years subscription I don't remember, I'd have to check the records, that could possibly be my fault, but sometimes I need reminding of stuff ...

I'm sure that at the right place you could get the head gasket done for much less than that. Just buy Duffer a weeks beer and fags (say £800 ;) ) and I'm sure he'd do it for you ....
4. Why not wait until it's warmer ?
5. Only cars with badly desgined heater vents need heated windscreens ! ;)
6. It looks like you didn't use the automated Paypal link (or it didn't work), so I had to do the renewal for you manually.
7. Got it today. Thanks !
8. I'm in the process of doing the rears as well, and courtesy of Smithy I have a nice set of Porterfield pads to go on all round.
9. Oh dear, second hand auto boxes are usually disposed of for a reason ... That aside, when you flushed out the oil did you clean the oil strainer/filter ? Were there any bits in it ?
10. Navan are like the stying version of Nismo I think. Nissan approved goodies that you could buy as optional extras.
11. Third gear acceleration. No further justification required !
12. SE chip and divorced downpipes - a good combination !
13. I cut'n'paste from Excel for my membership lists and that comes out messy. Can't remember the reason now, but I think it may be something to do with a combination of tabs and spaces. Exporting as fixed length records that are padded with spaces should work - is that possible ?
14. Yep tomorrow evening is a pissibolity. There is a slight risk that I may have spent the afternoon in the pub watching the rugby at which point all advice should be taken with a pinch of salt and possibly verified with someone like Duffer ! LOL ;)
15. LOL yeah ! I was in Preston (well almost) last Sunday night - should have come round for a cuppa ...
16. Handbrake, on the front, what do you think this is, a Citroen ? :D LOL
17. I'm even closer, just south of Great Dunmow. Am around tomorrow if you're available.
18. I can fix it so that you can attach an excel file (if you can't already), but can't do much about the formatting, its a forum feature that it turns turns multiple spaces into single ones. Think it ignores tabs too. Only thing you may be able to do is use a non-proportional font and then use the code feature. Like fixedsys test test test test
19. Fixed. There really needs to be more than just me who can fix this ...
20. She's away for work that weekend, somewhere in the US I think.
21. Not sure how the central locking works, I know my alarm needed an additional solenoid in the passenger door. Anyway, don't wanna insult you here, but if you're wiring up fogs then you are running them through a relay, right ?
22. Don't know off hand, but there are a couple of feeds around the instrument cluster and there is also the clock. Depends on what you want it for and how much current etc. Have you got a voltmeter ? Failing that a lightbulb and a couple of wires will help you trace a permanent live feed.
23. So how many of us have started these winter jobs yet ? ....
