  1. yes genuine from z centre, i called yesterday about dropping the car off, can i give you a call in the morning Jeff. i spoke with Jamie on thursday, and the lady yesterday, she gave you my number,its Aaron, i came down in October with the black SWB TT, that you advised me on getting many of the parts changed that i had... cars still giving me issues :-( cold running temps, and heavy fuel usage.
  2. having trouble with the car reading slightly above, the 1/4 mark on the stock gauge, been looking for days but cant seem to find any info as to what could make the engine run cold? had a new thermostat in a few months ago... so can i rule that out? i did however develop a rad leak ,and put some rad stop leak addatvie in, might this of damaged the opening or closing mechanisms of the thermostat? new rad is fitted, coolant is topped up with no leaks, and is still high. no air locks in the system... any suggestions please.

  4. i feel ya mate, id want as much info as possible, give zworld a ring they'll be able to tell you in seconds. but if ur going to the zworld bash im sure someone will have both clutches for you to try.

  6. nope, no leaks, or boost leaks, no fuel smells ever, all pipes, changed. new fuel temp sensor, new fuel pressure regulator, tank is fine, all lines are clipped and tight, trust me Alz, ive been over and over this car since i got it in July. but it seems the more things i change the more than need changing. beginnning to Pi33 me off. but i think surely soon i must of done EVERYTHING. this HAS to be the last thing to do. :-) look like Zworld is my only answer, but having spoken to Jeff, and done all hes said were both near out of ideas... really dont wanna spend 100 on petrol though, GRRRRRRRRRRRRR even a 100quid repair will cost me 200 at that rate. :-( why cant we have an East Anglia 300zx mechanic
  7. not really, but i have Huge 5 inch cans on the back, which do sooot up pretty quickly, and sometimes get popping through the exhaust and misfires. had it down at Z world in October for conzult, and only issue was timing slightly off after having the new engine fitted....

  9. i have the RPS cluth with fideanza fly, handles my power well, i run t28s at 16 psi when its dry, estimated over 430hp and the clutch feels beautiful, highly recommend it. i know im not at 500hp + but just giving you my 2pence on the RPS.
  10. yes by john dixon. but this is a recent fault, used to sit in the middle, but has started dropping. why do you ask Al?
  11. the water temp sensor (one which shows dash reading) is new, the coolant temp sensor ( yellow i think) needs replacing, but that doesnt show the low reading as it goes to the ECU. AlanZ- probabily not mate, but i know something is def wrong as the sender is new, as is the water pump and thermostat. think is i dont wanna drive it 250 mile round trip to zworld just for these petty parts. as its overfueling, that nearly 100quid in fuel alone!

My engine temperature is Low on the stock gauge. i know they can be in accurate but, in this case it seems odd.. problem being, the temp sits at the 1/4 mark and rarely goes above this even when taken on a long drive, but weirdly. once the engine is turned off, then on again within (minutes) the temp falls even lower, then rises again to about the 1/4 mark. has, no water leaks, as coolant remains high, and no air locks, the coolant temp sensor also doesnt work as when disconnected the fan doesnt kick in, and yes ive checked the relay and replaced with a working one. car also seems to be using LOTS more fuel than usual, help me sort this cold running. as ive no idea what can cause it.:blink:

  17. yes i reset it both today and yesterday, if i disconnect the sensor with the engine on or off, (with ignition on) the fan doesnt come on, and this is with the relay switched with a working one, just to rule out the relay.. any ideas what causes bad fuel consumption, sounds daft but might the wrong spark plugs cause this. car has no fuel or boost leaks. timing is correct. no exhaust leaks, good o2 sensors, working MAF. just seems to drink alot, even on a SLOW steady cruise, the needle keeps creaping down, most 1/4s in the tank last about 30-40 miles. went from hald to 1/4 in about 40 miles today, all in 5th gear going no more than 65-70

  19. had it on a conzult at zworld a few months back timing was off, but corrected, and its still really bad. seems to be getting worse though, in terms of miles per tank, not miles to the cost of a tank as i know prices have risen. have reset the ECU, same fault, relays are fine as i swapped the headlight to the fan relay and fan still doesnt come on... and ideas on the fan situation or cold running issue??
  20. car runs fine, starts fine, and never hesitates.... uses a lot of fuel though, and engine temp is a bit lower than normal all the time. may give z World a ring tomorow.
  21. the unit itself looks fine, but the electric fan doesnt kick in, as for the fueling issue, i wouldnt know, as its always been a big drinker :-(
  22. the yellow one on the front water pipe, where can i buy this from please, my ECU check has shown code 13 and 34 coolant temp sensor, and det sensor. also what effect does a bad coolant temp sensor have? as the only difference i notice when disconnecting it are a slight raise in RPMs..
  23. thanks, is there a way to tell if its nackerred or not, apparantly it should make the fan cut in when its disconnected, the fan does not come in when i disconnect it, but the engine RPMS do drop..
