  1. GIO. im gonna just give up, i have no idea on both. but both are very odd... gents im not here for a fight, and appreciate all your comments.
  2. LEO R32- having uprated turbos is not the cause for high fuel consumption. many on here have larger turbos than me, including AlanZ and return better economy, even Z world told me it was high, and the mods paid no real relevance in the consumption. this thread is completely different however, so why again make a stupid comment. im not trying to argue fella, its just unless you have something positive to say, why make the effort to be negative?
  3. firstly gents, as stated above this thread was started in hope someone might have an answer to the question, but it seems people are just giving me their MPG and figures which im not interested in. Secondly i am not worried about the fuel consumption as i didnt buy the car for its economical benifits, but having 11-14 MPG returned on a regular basis means something isnt right, when they should be doing at least 19-25 depending on driving. the turbos will make little/no difference, as they are ran on low boost (under 10 PSI) and even with standard turbos, the car was very much the same. If you all wish to carry on saying you get such and such in your TT and this and that in your N/A , carry on, but it bares no relevance to this thread question. VODKASHOTS... i have done plenty of research on 300zx's and have owned a few, i've spent thousands of pounds on mine, so 200 a week on petrol really won't bother my pocket much, but looking from the above my car is significantly less than most in terms of MPG. LEOr32-GTS- not the most intelligant of comments, you should really think about what you say before you publish it onto a public domain.
  4. vodkashots, i was quoting the other guy who 'owned the car before you' 360-370 is no trouble at all in these cars after 2nd, i know of a few 500bhp Z's that dont spin in 3rd let alone 4th. takes huge power to do so, unless you have tiny wheels and tyres at the back... very strange though. i dont even spin up in 3rd, and my cars over 400hp easily.... but im running continental 285/18s on the back.
  5. no boost jets. has an Electronic Boost controller anyway. and checked all pipework for boost jets. never mind, again one of the very mysteries of this car.
  6. snake up the road at 70 LMAO, is this car 800WHP by any chance? what mods vodkashots..
  7. Mods please close this thread!
  8. it was reading like this with stock turbos too.
  9. i may just have to live with it then, seems no one has a proper answer to this. thanks anyway gents.
  10. no leaks from tank or fuel lines..... im stumped.
  11. f**k sake, what could be then? im getting over 50 miles less than most of you. thats then 100 per tank.
  12. thing is, when driving like a granny i get about ........90 miles, it honestly doesnt vary from booting it loads, to taking it easy loads.
  13. does this seem about right people. for TT's with a bit of heavy foot driving most days, (overtaking etc) o2 sensors fine MAF fine injectors fine timing fine no fuel leaks thermostat fine. viscous fan new. seems a bit low, works out to about 14MPG...... even a full tank 70quid, wont see over 175-180 miles. what are you people getting and if its better than mine, any ideas.... the car has just come from Z world on and on a conzult, no faults.
  14. im not sure about the solenoid valve.
  15. me too... weird hey. where do boost jets go? im positive it doesnt have any as i just had a new engine with uprated turbos fitted.
  16. no i bought the turbos myself, and yes 100% its off, as when its on i run 14 -16 psi, its a greddy profec B spec 2 so very easy to use and turn on and off. but even with the standard turbos it used to still read 12 or 13 psi on max boost. you can heavily notice the difference with it turned on and up, most gears feel like a rollercoaster :-)
  17. no boost jets, waist gates are stock.
  18. Have a slight issue, with the boost controller turned off, it reads peaks of 13 PSI, the stock boost controller solenoids are still connected, so why is it reading so high? it has upgraded t28 turbos front mount intercooler air intake filter full turbo back exhaust. John Dixon ECU chip shouldnt it be at the normal 9 PSI until i up the boost? and it reads in real time so its not a previous reading. Any help would be appreciated.
  19. thanks for the pictures Alan, was fantastic to meet the rest of you all too, hope to see you all again soon.
  20. seems lots of you need to learn the difference between powerslide and drifting. ;-)
  21. can we meet in thetford sainsburys at about 9 30 am , me and djpete will be there as i cannot contact you alan...
  22. yep see you thre gents, my 300 will be on the 'torque' stand.
  23. i sir, would love to, will you be out this sunday at snetterton?
  24. not much of a meet then if people dont turn up. :-)
