More auto box trouble help needed
Car was driving fine up to last week 1991 UK auto. I have started to notice that when flooring it in first gear it started to hesitate at 7000 rpm and dropped to 2nd after a couple of seconds. Now its after getting worse. Wont drop from first gear at all unless I take my foor of the accelarator. Also its finding it difficult to stay in overdrive. The slightest pressure on acceleartor when cruising wil cause it to drop to third. between 2nd and third she seems to be slipping i.e when flooring the revs will rise but the car wont accelerate then all of a sudden she bites and takes off. Box was only rebuilt 2 years ago. Am I in Deep S?%t or might an autobox oil and pilot filter change do the trick. This is my second auto Z. My first one has been sitting on the drive for 2 years with a blown auto box. Are all auto box's this problematic??

ok require advice
Just did the diff seal recently ( my mechanic that is) Nasty enough looking job. Exhaust had to be dropped. They hadnt come off in 12 years and required heating to remove. Not a job for the novice The whole job including Rear diff seal and diff oil cost €150 approx £100.

Lumpy Vibrating engine
2 pm today driving back from work car seemed to start to judder. Was worse at lower speeds. Also the power seemed to be dramatically reduced. When at 60 mph you could still feel a vibration coming from the engine as if it was trying to push the car back as I drove. Is this one of the coils/Plugs or something more sinister. Had ordered plugs from courtesy on the 21st of Feb. which havent arrived yet. How long does it usually take to get stuff form the states?? Will a ECU diagnostic shed light on this. How do i check the coil packs are OK?? Cheers Roy

Driving to Italy
Drove to Monaco from Rosslare(Ireland) then down to Barcelona before heading back through andorra bordeaux and back to the ferry in cherbourg last september. Nice trip. (91 TT) Originally: Got 10 miles from the ferry and the fuel pump went. Missed the ferrry. Returned home to put secong pump in from spare Z. Returned to ferry 2 days later and tried again. Drove the above trip over 2000 miles and arrived home 2 weeks later. Drove to local chippy 2 miles away for food and the main drive shaft nut worked loose taking all my ancillary belts down and shearing the nut head taking power steering/alternator/aircon water pump /fan with it. Very lucky it didnt happen in europe.

Auto to manual conversion parts
Cash waiting for anyone breaking a manual. Need all the parts to convert a SWB TT to manual. I have finally given up on fixing my auto box. Went as far as the solenoids which were all tested and worked fine. Not sure where to go now without spending major bucks. Still stuck in second gear.

Great Start to the morning - any ideas?
is its an import If so its probably your convertor. This also happened to mine and I had to change it for a new chip. Loss of power steering. No speedo when cold. Hicas light flashing.

Auto Box shift solenoids
Cheers Andy Would the failure of a/b and clutch solenoid cause the symptoms described? What does the LP solenoid do as a matter of interest

Auto Box shift solenoids
Nissan have confirmed I have problems with my solenoids in the auto box. Problem: Car wont drop from 2nd to third gear. On inspection the shift A shift B Overrun clutch solenoids dont seem to be energizing when energised from the loom Line pressure solenoid seen to be working OK Whats the the procedure to follow from here. Do I replace the first 3 solenoids??? She is a Jap spec SWB Jan 1994 series 3 car. Are the solenoids in the Jap autobox different to the UK spec solenoid? Thanks Roy

Consult Question
After finally finding the diag port thanks to you guys they plugged it in and found a crank angle sensor fault on consult which they reset. (They expect 3 hrs labour for this) I asked them does consult have an autobox section similar to conzult to which they replied No. Is this correct or are they talking shite again. They want €400 to take out the solenoids to clean and replace. (Gearbox wont drop out of second to third) Is this the correct procedure or should the solenoids be replaced. After doing this work they wont guarantee the problem will be resolved aghhhh . Are all Nissan main dealers this bad on auto cars. They really seem clueless.

RIP autobox
Was your box staying in second and not droping to third (fine from First to second)??

Consult Question
Where doe consult connect to on the SWB??

Consult Question
Just dropped my TT SWB into Nissan to figure out why she isnt dropping from second gear. I told them it should be compatible with consult but they said because she's an import they are not compatible. He couldnt find where to connect his consult connector to. Surely this cant be correct???

Rear diff seal
Does anyone know if courtesy stock rear diff seals????? Can they be got easier in the UK

Rear diff seal
91 Uk Spec Auto 101K has been leaking what seemed to me a silicone type of substance. fairly clear but very viscous from center rear of the car over the last 2 days Thought it may have been a rear bushing as I had just done my front ones recently which seemed to seep the same type of substance. Dropped to mechanic who confirmed it was the rear difff seal had gone. Anyone know where to get these and how much. I would have thought the Diff oil would have been much darker?? Help appreciated Roy
