  2. Mines the exact same but UK car. Have also been told it was the brake band Box out, big job. Lots of cash.

  4. UK spec so no hold button. How hard is it to repair the brake band surely it wont need a full rebuild? Do you know if this can be performed with gearbox in or out. How did you get on with yours when this happened Thanks Roy

  7. PS Only asking as autobox seems to be slipping. ie cant maintain overdrive.Or find gear if floored. Do these filters in the control assembly clog up an if so what symptoms would you expect to encounter??? cheers Roy

  9. Ordered what i thought to be the pilot filter for my UK spec Auto Box. Nissan werent sure what a pilot filter was so they ran a search for "filter" on the box and came back with two tiny oil filters for the control valve. Theay are about the size of my thumbnail The part numbers are 3172641x01 and 3172641x00 Are these the correct filters or am I after getting the wrong parts. Help appreciated
  10. I think your right From closure inspection of the stock temp gauge I can see it failing every couple of seconds. Just drops ever so slightly very quickly then returns to normal
  11. If so why dont I see a visable change on stock temp gauge( is it because they are crap/inaccurate)

The faq test the fan not coming on My auxillary fan seems to be on all the time or at least the majority of the time even after starting on a cold morning and I know for a fact its less than 219 Faranheite Anyone know why this could be???
  13. 3 set of exhausts?? Are the roads constantly salted over there. 12 year old exhaust and not a spot of rust on mine. One of the benefits of gritting as opposed to salting roads
  14. You get that response sometimes when you beat somebody with a car costing 80K more. Raced a Donegal Ireland Registered BMW M5 Registration 00-DL-5000 Nice plate especially when you cant put private plates on over here Versus my Auto twin turbo SWB running at 12PSI For a while it was close put the Zed pulled kept pulling away especially in the twisty bits. When we pulled in for petrol got the same response Good fun though
  15. Not sure about that. The troubleshooting guide for an autobox that wont shift from 2 to 3rd is check #1, check the inhibitor switch. DOes anyone know exactly where it is located???

  19. Sounds like a good plan. Mod the manual and cruise in the auto. 66K should be OK for turbos . Mines turned 103K on original turbos and no problems yet (Turbos that is,lots of other problems though)

  21. No I dont mean the normal operation of the overdrive i meanat cruising. The instant cruise is put on it dros to third. When cruise isnt on and i barely touch the accelerator she drops to third. Can only drive in overdrive if I barely touch the accelerator. Any ideas whats causing this drop????
  22. How exactly does the autobox determine when to change from overdrive/fourth to third gear. Mine seems to be doing it even when cruising or in cruise control the second a slight incline is met leaving me to cruise around in third for most of the time. MPG is bad enough with the overdrive.
  23. Did the autobox diagnostic. No errors found here. Sounds like I could be in trouble.
