Can conzult be used by both a Jap SWB and by a UK spec car. Took my SWB TT to Nissan and they said consult wasnt compatible with the Import. They required extra software which they didnt have. Is this Bulls***???

The 94 Jap car is a series 3 car. What problems would I expect to encounter putting a series 1 UK box into it??

Does anyone know if i can take my UK spec Auto box from my 91 UK Z and Drop it into my SWB 94 TT Z (which isnt working) while still retaining the power and hold functionality of the Jap car on the UK spec Box??

I wouldnt say fuel is cheap about the same as spain/ portugal 83 cent/litre. Its just the UK petrol prices are a pure rip off whats the average now 77p (1.22 euro)? Over the year the UK petrol prices probably equates with irish road tax , but you have to be doing at least 18 k miles / year. No such thing as a weekend car over here and forget about eh deals yee lads n lassies get on insurance when car is over 10 years old, full premium until the car is 30 years old. Unfortunately the Road Tax here does not go to the roads but to social services, Dole, social welfare ets. This is why the roads are shit. Dont see why does who drive large cars should subsidise those who stay in bed.

Unfortunately this battery reset routine didnt work. Funny thig about this is it happened back in march . I stopped turned off the ignition waited 10 mins started and she drove away fine for 3 months until june. I t happened again and she's been parked since. This suggest its something minor as a shagged box would not come and go like that. Unfortunatly Here in Cork When 99.9% of the cars are manual there are no Auto Box repair services. Only other option is hire a transporter and bring to Dublin to a specialist but its like giving one of these guys a blank cheque. Regards Roy

Very envious UK Z owners. Minister of finance here in ireland has just increased the road tax by 12%. Which now raises the road tax from €960 to €1075.20 peryear while a 3.1 car is nearly €1300/year. This is before our insurance costs. Reality has ceased to exist in Ireland.

Have posted this topic 6 months ago but am looking for feedback from veteran/specialist Z owners as I have finally decided to repair or do the conversion. Car wont drop from 2nd to third gear. took it to local mechanic who seemed baffled. Can anyone pinpoint the problem for me . Is it a known problem on Zeds. Its a 94 SWB TT Slicktop. 45 K miles. Gearbox flush done no diagnostic faults from auto gearbox or ecu diagnostic. The 194 page Automatic transmission section of the Z online manual in only confusing me more Any help appreciated. Roy

How do these operate? Where are they located? If they start to give trouble what symptoms would you exspect to experience?

200's are a great car. especially the S14. They do seem to be a bit more tail happy than the Z. 0-60 difference is 0.5 secs for the Auto Z vs Manual 200. although it seemed closer when we did it here recently. Touring S14a can now be picked up quite reasonably. Which is better?? I'd have to say the Z

Yip Its an auto but I didnt think the Zed had a distributor. PS How do I check if it is my PCV valves?
