  1. Does anybody by chance have the measurements for each of the (4) individual hard brake lines for an NA SWB zed (incorporating the additional length of the braided hose from the line to the caliper). The ABS and stock hard brake lines that run the full length of my zed (underneath) are being binned. I'm also replacing the current TT BMC with that of an NA (so that I have 4 x brake line outputs rather than the 2 x brake line outputs that the TT comes with as standard due to it being fitted with ABS from the factory) The hard brake lines are being replaced with single lengths of braided lines from each output of the NA BMC, direct to each individual caliper. This will enable the correct 'T' piece fitting of my hydro handbrake, will tidy the whole lot up and will enable the lines to be run inside the car. *Note: pulling fuses/unplugging ECU and 'T' piecing in behind the ABS unit does not work, especially with 8 pot calipers and has resulted in a very spongy brake pedal, hence why I'm doing this. I have been advised to go down the same route that a few of the 'S' body guys have gone down. DB Power have said that they can supply the braided lines as long as I can get them the measurements. If anybody knows the measurements that will save me a fair bit of time as I'm working away from home at the moment, if not then I guess it'll just be a case of running a para cord mock up once I have the zed up on ramps cheers guys
  2. I suppose you'ld just have to fix it if it broke, though it would appear to be well over engineered and at 700bhp it's only running at 75% of it's potential 1000bhp here's a quick pic from Japfest 2010
  3. Once bitten, twice shy and all that...but it is a pretty special FD
  4. Personally I think it's worth every penny of the £25k asking price http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320936654338?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
  5. Is that SPL kit for LWB only or do they do it for proper zeds aswell? you know I'm only joking :devil2:
  6. Cheers guys that makes sense, and excuse my bad England 'does' should have read 'do'
  7. My appologies if this is a daft question but I've just had a thought, does the later (electronic hicas) zeds have NA power steering pumps rather than the TT pump as standard, due to the fact that they no longer have the extra hydraulic pipework/solonoid and bits etc?
  8. Yep, that's why I think it would be necessary to keep a log of 'non essential' expenses aswell, because the problem with zeds is that you always seem to be spending on something...even if you don't actually need to
  9. I can see an experiment coming on.... Maybe it'd be worth keeping a log over the next 12 months. First start by making a note of the zeds current mileage and then over the next year exactly, work out (1) how many miles an average UK zed covers in exactly 1 year (2) how much fuel it drinks and (3) how much it costs in 'essential' and 'non essential' parts to keep it on the road and (4) how many days of the year the zed actually spends on the road (ie. not parked up on the driveway or on axle stands)
  10. If that's ^^^^^ the case mate you should spend a little bit more time on here......1,038 posts since 29th April 2012 shows a complete lack of commitment as far as I'm concerned :whistling:
  11. Don't worry, I don't think anybody noticed  but just to give you some idea of the last two pages mate.....
  12. Don't take it personally mate, they don't mean it besides everybody has issues with somebody at some stage bud........my parents always wanted a little girl I remember it as if it was yesterday...... they will come back for me...........some day
  13. What a ****ing Walter Mitty arse crumpet  http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=businessman+pretends+to+be+war+hero&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CFgQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailymail.co.uk%2Fnews%2Farticle-2172437%2FStuart-Elliot-Businessman-falsely-claimed-Navy-captain-seen-wearing-medals-upside-down.html&ei=0IsAUIPoL6Kg0QXV8PCKBw&usg=AFQjCNEc0jUrFF5c9YIK1YtU18Am2xuQMQ If you weren't there, don't ****ing wear....simple!!!
  14. so what exactly are you trying to say about the tastes of some people on this forum?
  15. Yes but my premium has gone up by £7 since last year....£201 is outrageous for fully comp on a 3ltr V6 twin turbo....oh wait
  16. I spotted this the other day on DW....good reactions I thought HDQatnFUA3E
  17. That seems pretty reasonable, I need to give them a ring this week to discuss postage costs for a gear lever bush set: http://www.mjpshop.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=gear lever&product_id=500 I was just about to place the order and then realised that postage knocked the cost up to over £17, which is a lot on a part that costs a shade over £6
  18. That's ridiculous......so just because Ed McMahon passed away in 2009 he can't host the guys birthday party in McDonalds.....jack ****!
  19. I'm not sure if people will be cutting about on hover boards in 2015 but you can guarantee that the average 300zx will still be worth **** all :whistling:
  20. Which leads me to my next suggestion.... Is there any downsides to adjusting the camber, I guess it'll knacker the tyres mega quick if it goes too far? If you go mad to the point where it looks daft then yes it'll knacker the tyres and will handle like a bag of snails, but a reasonable amount of negative camber shouldn't cause any major increase in tyre degredation and according to the techs at Hereford Tyres who set mine up on their Hunter system, a bit of negative camber will improve traction under spirited 'B' road/track driving conditions.
  21. Yes indeedy', now slam it to the deck and dial in a bit more negative camber....job done
  22. There are a set of these for sale on DW, can't cut and paste the link?? but if you need spares/different fronts etc Work Equips 18x10J ET22 & 18x 11J ET-24 5x114.3 Diameter = 18 inch Front width & offset =18 x 10J ET22 Rear width & offset = 18 x 11J ET-24 PCD = 5 x 114.3 Quantity = 4 Condition= Outside lips have been refurbed, some random blemishes, can be seen in photos Tyres = Toyo R888’s Size = 265/35/ZR18 Tread = Great Price = £1800
  23. My rims are ET -7 and 10JJ (0.5 degree negative camber) to be honest I could flare the rear arches a hell of a lot more than they currently are, though I think it would be difficult to do it without creasing. For me creasing isn't an issue as I like the fact that I can just knock the lip in/out to compensate for varying widths of tyre and rim, but if you want a really neat job with no creasing I think you'll struggle to get an extra 2" under there. Overfenders might be an option though
  24. ET -20 and 12JJ = Epic :ninja: I take it you've got fully adjustable suspension and an arch flaring tool?
