  1. Now that I'd like to see Ed: "Vote Labour, we're solid as a rock....forget Conservative's and that Cameron cock!" David: "Vote Conservative 'cos Labour are gay, we'll reduse your taxes and increase our....uh, I mean your pay" Pez: "Vote for Pez because I know **** all about politics.....so first I'll sort out the benefits bums, banish the illegals and radical extremists, hang the peado's and ensure fair taxes for all.....Like I said, I know **** all about politics but I still understand it better than these two ^^^^ chimps!"
  2. To be honest mate, I can't remember who the current prime minister in this country is so not really able to comment on Australia :whistling:
  3. I thought they did, I couldn't figure if I'd just imagined it or not
  4. Didn't/don't JECS supply a lot of OEM components to Nissan for the z32 anyway?
  5. That's 'cos Brits are generally tight as arseholes
  6. Why would the French guy want a RHD car from the UK when he could source a LHD car easily enough from Germany/US or anywhere else that they drive on the wrong side of the road?
  7. Sorry, for a second there I thought you said that you were breaking your zed....surely not that one ^^^^ in your sig mate?
  8. As above: - don't mention the war(s) - don't mention the '66 World Cup - don't mention the fact that his mrs has arm bits that look like a gorillas back - or that his new mother inlaw has similar arms pits but with a 40 year head start - thank them for their Liebfraumilch and Blu Nun (then comment on the fact that his mrs is very unlikely to pass the Nun/convent chastity test *emphasis that part of that is your fault, so you're happy to share the blame with the groom....wink, wink...*take another swig of the afformentioned wines straight out of the bottle...belch and move onto page two of your speech) - highlight that on a serious note their cars are pretty good and go for years and years without a full service (again...mention similarities with the grooms new mother inlaw at this point) - finish off with a genuinely tearful heart felt toast to the bride and groom....end of an era etc.....no more Bankok lady boys for you mate (give your mate a manly hug!) and more importantly, make sure that all of that ^^^^^ is on video so we can all have a good laugh when/if you get out of the hospital
  9. it would appear that quite a few cars were imported from Japan 2007 onwards and there seemed to be a bit of a trend for no filter turbo inlet setups? there was a bit of a discussion a while back on DW with regards to the pro's and con's of risk vs gains % wise (5-10%????) Stav (DW/Redline) imported an FC from Japan and it didn't have a filter in the same way that the FD above didn't. He claims to have run it out on several 'dusty' track days (his words) and 500 road miles with no problems and I know that there are some mad fookers' in Abu Dhabi who run big V10 Landcruisers offroad who also have no problems (how beats me??) I was just curious as to what would and what would not most likely cause catestrophic damage (ie. stones would obviously, but what about sand/fine grit etc) I'm just throwing this out there really, I know what the damage could be and I'm sure turbo/s location is a major factor. Maybe something (and bare with me on this) but as simple as turning the turbo the other way around so that it's facing the rear or even enclosed inside the cab, may be how some of the above get away with it.... Like I said, it's not a serious thought it's just something that I was pondering over
  10. The FD had a T88 single turbo conversion but had no filter, just a wire mesh cover now I've seen a few drag cars run without filters and I'm aware of the issues that could result from foreign debris entering into the turbo inlet and I know that the zed's turbos sit really low in the engine bay and may not be best placed for this practice however, has anybody on here considered the benefits of running filterless turbos (at least for a few blasts as Santa Pod)?
  11. I'm certainly no expert with regards to this kind of thing but I would have thought that it could be saved (though not sure how economically viable this would be even if purchased back off the insurance company really cheaply).
  12. Has anybody ever run two smaller vented catch tanks on a VG, just out of interest? Not entirely sure why I'm asking but one of the pics in the link above shows a hell of a lot of hose running from one side of the engine to the catch tank on the opposite side, I figure maybe two smaller tanks (one on each side) might be an option??? standing by to be corrected...
  13. Marty popped by earlier and took a look and we believe that the housing in the second picture has been machined. There are quite a few dodgy things going on with this particular housing, with a few bodged de-threaded holes and a bolt inside the inlet (I knew about that one from my previous quick inspection) but a few more odd things have been pointed out today. First off I'm going to source a replacement housing with the correct 47mm inlet and then go from there. Both impellers have nuts on though..
  14. Ah, that explains it...
  15. Isn't the idea of an oil catch tank to hold the manky shit seperate and stop it from going back into the sump/engine (ie. to be disposed of post track session etc)?
  16. Cheers mate, I've had a quick look on the Drive Rite website and it looks like it could be the place, so I've sent them an email and am awaiting a reply
  17. Will do mate, I'm really going off this whole VG thing though :hammer: I'd just like an engine that if something go's wrong I know that I can pop the bonnet and get access to whatever I need to get access to, this whole engine in/engine out *****cks just to change some turbos is not ideal I helped my mate work on the SR20 in his PS13 a while back and that was fantastic, you could have pitched a tent in his engine bay and got your head down, with the amount of room that he had! With this bloody VG I couldn't even see the friggin turbos without having to shift a whole pile of piping and wires.....
  18. Not sure mate, they are Garrett GT675RS turbos from Z1 in the US
  19. I've heard good things about those...
  20. The indicators are all working now and flashing at the correct pace (was down to a few dodgy indicator bulbs). All of the 10amp fuses in the drivers footwell are ok but still the headlights are on full beam? The brake lights still aren't working and the tail light sensor is definately missing....all were working last time it was driven on the road but for some reason they've decided not to play ball now (and obviously the pixies have stolen my sensor)
  21. It might take a while to get a reply mate.......everybody on here's stood on their driveways at the moment trying to get their zeds to work
  22. Mine is missing (?) not sure when , where or how but it's not in there anymore Would the fact that this is missing be the cause of my not having any brake lights at all? *in fact the lights have gone a bit manic at the moment, the inicators work but flash quickly, the headlights are on full beam only (irrespective of switch position, no side lights in either position) This car needs to have a word with itself or else it's going down range and getting fragged!!!
  23. I've sent Z1 an email to try to establish costs etc
