  1. Won't be selling these anytime soon then! Right I've just checked with a digital caliper, one housing inlet measures 47mm across the other measures 53mm across....WTF!!!
  2. Another job that I could have done without! Cheers for the info mate, no doubt I'll sort this in the next year or so then
  3. That'll be another Christmas card en route to Ztech then....
  4. I can't get hold of any details whatsoever on this compressor, nobody in the trade so far recognises it. I was just throwing this out there just on the very slim chance that somebody recognised it
  5. I presume it shouldn't cause any dramas though?
  6. I've just had a close up inspection of the pair of turbos that are sat on my workbench and there seems to be a bit of a difference inside in as much as the one propellor looks to be smaller than the other? both move freely with no play whatsoever but this one looks to be slightly larger than this one They are both GT675RS... any ideas?
  7. It's 12v mate and used for the air suspension on the van
  8. The compressor for our Fiat Ducato (6 wheeler) has burnt out and we need to source a replacement, but not sure who actually supplied the part originally (it's an ex Police van) It's a big old compressor (approx 12" - 16" in length) and so far none of the suppliers recognise it. I presume air compressors are pretty much a generic part as long as the rating and hose connector sizes are correct. Does anybody deal with this kind of thing in work?
  9. that's the plan mate but for the immediate future, I want to get the brakes working so that I can drive it to whoever is going to be working on it over the next few weeks sorting out all of the niggly jobs that I've been meaning to sort but never got around to
  10. Do you know where the bleed point is on the SWB ABS unit mate? and I'm assuming that a seal or something may have gone on the brake booster, so would that be a relatively simple fix?
  11. My SWB TT came from the factory with the new electric HICAS and therefore was fitted with an NA power steering pump rather than the usual TT power steering pump with hydraulic HICAS solonoid/TT PAS pot etc. The electric HICAS has since been removed and I've noted that there is not a PAS cooler fitted to these models as standard. I've now mounted a PAS cooler but am trying to determine the correct connection points on the NA power steering pump for the two hose connections that run to the cooler. Could somebody post up a pic if their NA power steering pump showing where the PAS cooler hose connections are please thanks
  12. That's another thing, on the SWB ABS unit there doesn't seem to be an obvious bleed point. The ABS units are completely different to the unit from the LWB and there's nothing online that I can see that shows where one might be.
  13. If you mean the pics of turbos that I posted mate, they are Garrett GT675RS roller bearing turbos from Z1 in the States and are sat on my work bench at the moment staring lovingly at a forged lump on an engine stand... I posted the pics to show what I was trying to explain about the inlet adaptor plate that can be rotated, rather than just two drilled bolt holes in the housing the plate has several small allen/hex bolts so that the plate can be relocated to adjust the rotation of the housing
  14. Just out of interest more than anything (because the ABS is going anyway) I'm trying to figure what is up with the ABS system on my SWB. Ever since swapping the stock rears for 6 pots the pedal feel is really soft, in fact the brakes near as damn it don't work. Now the brakes have been bled thoroughly (twice) and all is fitted correctly (new copper washers and banjo bolts etc) but there seems to be something up with the ABS unit behind the drivers seat. When the engine is ticking over and the brake pedal is pressed, the revs drop ever so slightly by a few hundred RPM. The brake pedal is really soft and there seems to be a quiet hiss sound coming from the ABS unit behind the drivers seat? Maybe there is a leak from the ABS unit itself (it all worked beforehand and hasn't been touched during the rear brake swap) but it seems strange that the revs drop aswell, as I've never noticed that before. Since I now have an NA BMS ready to go in and I want to really simplify the overall brake system, it makes sense that I replace the stock ABS with a non ABS system. I'm just curious if anybody else has experienced similar issues with their ABS...
  15. I think mine might be slightly different, both have an inlet adaptor bracket that can be rotated to suit?
  16. Interesting read, cheers guys basically I've been offered a pair of HKS 2510's and I'm tempted to fit those to my spare engine and abuse that on track, then leave the GT675RS turbos for my forged lump (or sell the forged lump/ 675's and go down the stock 2JZ route or something similar) Hmmmm....
  17. With regards to lag I would assume that they would spool up quicker than 2530's and therefore may be a better option for circuits such as Thruxton?
  18. Is anybody on here running a pair of HKS GT2510 turbos? and what power figures could be expected as I'm informed that they are quite a bit smaller than 2530's/GT675RS for example
