  1. Mate, if you have a problem, and if no one else can help, and if you can find them, then maybe you could hire.... *cue theme tune......
  2. Love, loathe or despise intently....by default when the public/media take an interest in these type of acts and feel it necessary to air their views, the corporate publicity machine has achieved its aim....ironic isn't it :hammer:
  3. That ^^^^^ would indicate that the driver was a white male charity worker taking his injured child to the hospital A&E... if the driver had been an illegal immigrant, he'd have explained that he stole the GTR from the pub car park after spending all of his benefits on slivovitz (hence no pennies for bus fare) and simply had to top 140+mph because he was late meeting up with his crack supplier. He would have got off with an all inclusive holiday for him and his extended family and an increase in benefits to prevent the situation from arising again!
  4. It's a shame that the seller couldn't make the font in their advert a tad bigger and maybe throw a bit of bold into the mix for good measure....I need some Neurofen now!
  5. GTR driver gets it so wrong... http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=4bc_1349153601
  6. It's been really busy recently workwise mate but there's light at the end of the tunnel etc etc
  7. Granted the driver of the Skyline is acting like a tit but the copper could have (and should have) given him a blip of the blues and twos straight off the roundabout just as a warning. The driver would most likely have slowed, acknowledged the copper and screwed the nut for the rest of his journey. As it was the Skyline driver saw a Hayabusa rider sticking to his ass' and opted to stretch his motors legs as a demonstration of it's capabilities/his manhood etc....and I'd just like to state that I believe that anyone on here who claims that they have never accelerated away from some knobber who's sat right on your rear bumper (just for a few hundred yards at least) is either a halo wearing entity of angelic proportions or more than likely, simply full of s**t! I agree that there's no place for prolonged periods of speed like that on busy roads and the driver will no doubt have had the book thrown at him, however the copper needs to be pulled in front of the boss man and ripped a new arsehole as he/she certainly contributed to that lunacy... just my views on it
  8. 300,000 miles....now obviously fuel prices in the US are a lot less than over here and it's not always been at todays arse rape rates of £1.45+ per litre but just think how much a 300,000 miler zed has cost in fuel and repairs over the years!
  9. Remember this ^^^^ chain reaction moment mate, you'll look back in a few years and kick yourself when you start to work out how much that question has cost you in total...
  10. Personally on my LWB I always had 18's (and dabbled with 19's at one stage which I really disliked) however 18's in my opinion just look too big on a SWB. I prefer the look of 17's as they suit the profile of a shortie' just right please excuse the crap camera phone pic (and those cobwebs on the rear have purposely been put there in preparation for Halloween, and not because it's been sat there for months waiting for my lazy ass' to sort the brakes out :whistling:)
  11. yep, spec savers are doing a 2 for 1 on 99 spec bumpers this week....:whistling:
  12. Jeez' guys, this snide bickering is getting really ****ing boring now. Just get some 16 oz's on and sort it once and for all like gentlemen or steer clear of each other...just for **** sake keep the handbags and sly digs off this forum (I've spilt my brew now....bugger!) with regards to the 'actual' thread topic, as far as I can see there is absolutely no chance in hell that everyone will agree on how buying & selling should be conducted and to that end Ebay/Paypal (as shit as it is) is still sadly, the safest bet and even that is ludicrously flawed (and costly) it's a fact of life that people will feel agrieved if expectations aren't met during a transaction and if either party aren't willing to concede at least some of the responsibility when things go wrong then things can (and usually do) get out of hand pretty damn quick. A 'For Sale' template works well elsewhere and will no doubt help 'manage expectations' during transactions, but this will in no way provide protection above this, after all if somebody wants to diddle you out of your hard earned then they will happily try their hand at doing just that It never ceases to amaze me that some people still think that just because another person drives the same freakin' car as them that they will automatically share similar moral values and principles 99% positive transactions versus 1% dodgy transactions is a pretty good statistic to be fair, you've only got to look back at Driftworks over the last few years to see how many scamming arse bandits there are floating about tinterwebz'. DW adopted the 'For Sale' template and the mod's took a hard stand against both dodgy sellers and nieve buyers. If the buyer sent payment by Paypal as a gift then his/her whinging was drowned out by the barrage of piss take from members/mods. Now I'm not suggesting that we adopt the same mentality but a line has to be drawn, the forum either intervenes wholly in making sure that transactions are bulletproof (nigh on impossible unless an Escrow policy is adopted = highly unlikely) or they back the **** off, provide a means of reducing unrealistic expectaions (ie. ebay link or For Sale template which must include lots of good photographs) and the adoption of a zero tollerence policy of No Photo = No Sale, followed by rapid deletion of thread by mod) and then just let buyer/seller hammer it out amongst themselves via PM I've probably worded that completely wrong but my nuts are covered in scalding tea so please excuse me...
  13. There's your answer mate ^^^^ I've had no problems with over heating either: several enlarged intakes on front bumper - ARC PAS cooler - Greddy 3 row fmic - Mahoosive Calsonic oil cooler - Koyo rad - Viscous fan - vented nose panel & bonnet = no noticeable increase in temps (driven or at idle) if the Koyo was OEM or if it wasn't so well vented then it could obviously be a very different story, though currently I can honestly say that it's all good
  14. Taking into account all of the above, have the parts actually been sent, if so when were they sent and when will they be delivered? A little cross referencing of times and dates should shine a bit of light on the situation surely, and if it's claimed on a particular date that 'the parts have been sent' when in actual fact it's proven that they have not/were not sent.....then simply put, the seller has been caught out telling a little white lie (or bullshitting, whichever term is most suitable) I don't quite see it as six of one, half a dozen to the other because so far (as I read it anyway) the buyer has paid, the seller hadn't delivered the part when he said that he would...the buyer then realised whilst away that what he'd paid for still hadn't been delivered and subsequently (and quite justified) asked for a refund....the seller and buyer both feel hard done by, but as it stands only one person (the buyer) is out of pocket from the information provided it seems very similar to a recent thread, though in all probability these are very different circumstances....now unless people know something that I don't, I can't see how the seller can be defended going by the information provided above?? Just how I see it that's all and of course we all hope that it can be sorted
  15. Still need to log in via fail-book mate, give us a clue what it is
  16. I'm confused now how is this different to pointing out the costly failings and bad experiences of dealing with Ztech or Severnside Imports?
  17. You'll need the gearbox from a more suitable donor I think..... this should do it
  18. Wasn't that a brand new box chief? Good luck anyway matey
  19. Personally I think it would be worth just sourcing a secondhand OEM replacement upper arm and see how you get on with that mate. Once you're happy that it was a bent upper arm that was the source of the problem, then maybe invest in upgraded springs/adjustable arms etc. otherwise you could find yourself chasing the error (which ultimately could cost you more in the long run)
  20. It might be possible to go a slightly shorter route but to be honest I'd be concerned about it (a) snagging on something (coilover etc) or (b) putting any strain on the connections due to being a tad too short The difference in running inside the shell compared to underneath the shell is negligable as I was going to follow the same route as the hard lines, therefore intending on (where possible) using the same entry/exit holes on the shell; although enlarged slightly to accomodate the larger OD. Having spoken to a few guys who have done it on 'S' bodies and a Soarer, I'm pretty happy that the pedal feel will be fine. to be fair it can't get much worse than it is at the moment so anything will be an improvement. If it doesn't work out I'll just try something else. I'll keep my options open regarding supplier, it all depends on quality and cost
