  2. That happened on an episode of Secret Millionaire...the film crew were loading the wagon whilst the millionaire was sat in the passenger seat, and then some scroatbag climbed in and drove off *and the Scooby in Liverpool had just undergone a Diesel engine conversion by the way, because it was economically more viable in the long run (though he is considering LPG)
  3. It can go backwards in time = so that makes it slower it can go forward in time = so that means it can go faster but the laws of karma mean that they both equal each other out and therefore the Back to the Future Delorean on average travels at 0mph (Spielberg stated 88mph but we all know that Hollywood have a tendency to exagerate) anyway we're both wrong because everybody knows that the quickest shifting car in the world is a Scooby, parked up in Liverpool with the keys still in the ignition...
  4. :tt2: I win :nana2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xkYtWXqSfI it's a well known fact that the Millenium Falcom runs a BMW turbo diesel lump with K&N filter and straight through de-cat
  5. That looks pretty tidy to be fair
  6. Please somebody do this (LPG there zed) though I suspect it would only be practical on a LWB due to the extra space over a SWB, otherwise you'd end up with something that looks like this....
  7. I'll fire them all across to you lunchtime mate (it'll be an overview as I have about 3 complete files on this) you'll see how the original advert from the guys/company in Japan are word for word and photo for photo, those of the UK based company (although the UK company make a few corrections and add more detail ie. first registration date...1995?)
  8. Relevent paperwork has been submitted to DVLA.....I mean Rolex  and it's still in UK (so not shipped overseas) and is currently un-taxed (tax was due 01/01/2010). Therefore if it was originally taxed July 2008 and assuming 6 months, then that would have expired December 2008. It would then most likely have been taxed for 12 months which would run out December 2009....and hasn't been taxed or seen by any other member of the RX7 clubs/forums.. I've been told that I should have the details of the current registered keeper within the week, and I suspect that it will still be Fred's name on the V5 (or friend/family) and I suspect that the item in question is stowed away in a garage/barn somewhere, unless it's been broken for parts that is. Assuming that the 1992 version was not a copy, and that there only ever was one version (albeit listed as 3 years newer/bodywork in shit state and with a dodgy engine that had lost 200 horses overnight) then the opinion is that something in my posession is better than nothing, despite the fact that it would most likely need a good £10,000 pumping into it in order to bring it up to spec. Payment was handed to Fred personally (bankers draft) but at his request (I have the emails) the bankers draft was to be made payable to Fred's dad.
  9. by law at what point does 'change of ownership' actually take place? is it when you pay for the item or when you take delivery of the item?
  10. I think Rooney's wig is Ukranian!
  11. I don't know....there's a nice looking Rolex on ebay  but yep, definately up for a meet in the Midlands mate
  12. I've forgotten what I bought mate, it's been so long
  13. Well we're a mixed bunch in my household anyway, I'm Welsh, the kids are English, grandparents are Irish and Polish and as for Rooney....well I can't stand tennis anyway
  14. That ^^^^ explains it...I thought somebody was being a tad over sensitive with the whole sweaty sock thing:biggrin:
  15. I have a meeting this Thursday with my solicitor....let's just say....I haven't bought a Rolex off ebay but worst case scenario, if I had (paid for the Rolex ) and I couldn't get my £10,000 back, then I would at least have a claim on the damaged £3,000 Rolex that was rejected (and in Fred's posession still) rather than being left high and dry with sweet football association..
  16. Ok, so let's assume that Ebay are completely useless and inform you that they cover up to a maximum of £500 (that leaves you £9,500 short at best) now let's assume that you didn't pay using Paypal (they're robbing bar stewards after all!) and you paid the full £10,000 by bankers draft Ebay have no sway whatsoever....besides 99% of the time they wash their hands of disputes anyway there are more questions by the way
  17. Just a very quick one for any of you ebay legal eagles out there and my appologies for being a bit cryptic.... Let's say that you bought something off ebay (for example a £10,000 secondhand Rolex watch) off a member called 'Fred' with an ebay account: fred's-watches When the watch arrives you discover that it is a completely different style of Rolex watch to the one that was advertised, also the face is badly scratched. Would I be right in assuming that following your rejection of the Rolex watch, the person that you would chase for the refund of your £10,000 would be the person who is the registered ebay member/ebay account 'fred's-watches' *the fact that Fred's father (Brian) runs a shop in Bristol called 'Fred's Watches' is neither here nor there, as the responsibility lies with the ebay member as that is who the 'contract of sale' was with does that make sense? I'll carry this on in a minute....
  18. My statement was in response to the above ^^^^ rather than the OP's original question of what would fit and would it be cost effective the point that I was trying to make (as a side note/reading between the lines) was that there are diesel engines available today that offer comparable performance to a 20 year old VG30DETT, if performance were to become a defining factor further on down the line
  19. There are some good torquey' TD oil burner lumps out there these days, so quite possible that the difference wouldn't be too obvious 90% of the time
  20. If you want a special z31 there's a guy on Driftworks who's selling his short wheel base z31. It's one of only a handful that I would personally consider now, it's also been featured in a few magazines recently. He's spent quite a bit on it so I would hazard a guess and say that it's in good condition underneath
  21. What's the point of it though. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the idea of a rear difusser for it to be used in conjunction with a complete under tray?
  22. They'll be copies I'm guessing I used to have them in my old LWB
  23. Dino's spot on mate, so I wouldn't worry about getting screwed over. Wheels are usually shipped in a container so can take a while to arrive but mine were well wrapped and were fine. I've had countless parts off him over the last few years and never had an issue and as mentioned above he will source parts for you. I asked him to sort some parts direct from Blitz, everything went really smoothly. My RX7 issue was down to several dodgy companies and was just unfortunate Dino/Japandyno is sound mate
  24. Don't Kream have their own zed? Like a funky green/blue colour if I remember correctly Edit: This one I think
