I had an Alfa GT, lovely looker and a great drive too. Had a few blasts in a 156 and all seemed ok to me. The reputation is bad and it probably is justified to a certain degree but anything mechanical will break at somepoint. I had a BMW 3 series and that was a nightmare. And as a certain Mr Clarkson has said, you aint a petrolhead till you've owned an Alfa LOL. Go for the Alfa mate I reckon

Always used AutoGlym. Found it not to abrasive, the 350Z paint is really thin and it works a treat on that.

If you go past Gutersloh on the way (inbetween Hannover & Dortmund on route 2) nip in for a brew.

Unfortunatly Si football is the worlds number 1 sport. More people play it than any other. You can go anywhere in the world and people of all ages no the top 4 premier league teams in England. The other sports you mentioned do deserve more air time but against football it will never happen.

Awesome idea mate, H4H is a brilliant charity and you will hopefully bring more positive attention to our forces. It always amazes me why ours aren't held in the same regard by the public as our American "friends".
