  1. Ok guys here it is, Now that the weather in Germany has finally made a turn for the better I can get dirty and try and sort her out. There are 2 main problems that I have and I will go into them in a minute. 1. Rear Brake Lines Went to fit a set of Goodridge lines and when trying to get the old ones off they BOTH snapped at the bracket in the wheelarch.:oops: I bought some new hose endings and a pipe flaring kit but the pipes are so badly corroded that I cant really do anything with them. :headvswal:headvswal Don't know where to go from here. 2. Plenum Had to replace the rocker cover gaskets, these went on fine and are all sealed and a new plenum gasket went on aswell. Started putting the plenum back on but I seem to be a couple of breathers over and cant see where they go, they are along the drivers side of the engine and at the back. I know that pics would help here and I am going to try and get some to put up, however I cant do that at the moment. I'm after any help or advise to do the work myself if possible please, or as I feel is the more likely outcome to get the car trailer'd to DTA in Holland. (I live in Germany). Cheers for any help guys, Rob
  2. Haha, gotta admit guys I have been known to play it on the "Fly-pod" when flying round Germany. Sad I know but bleedin funny. If anyone is wondering I'm an air door gunner in the Army on Lynx helicopters.
  3. In Germany mate, its been to cold to work on the ZX so she is still round the back of the MRS looking sorry for herself. Haven't been able to drive the 350 due to the weather, rears just spin and I go nowhere LOL. Haven't BFG'd it either but the lights are on their way. Have to meet up for a beer or a brew mate.
  4. Honking bits of kit I think LOL
  5. Like me staying with the Nissan theme eh LOL. Hows tricks mate?
  6. I like it, seems a good price too. I'd never be able to sneak it in tho LOL
  7. Good for me guys, ill find out if there are camping sites near by, may bring costs down a bit.
  8. I honestly think the caliper is the weak link mate. Maybe have another look at whats available and go from there. Just a thought of course. Rob
  9. My way is the hairdryer to loosen the glue and nail polish remover to shift the glue. Give the area a good polish afterwards aswell.
  10. Being out in Germany I'm lucky I can legally drive fast. Got a standard Brembo brake setup on my 350Z and done similar stops as you Al. As yet I havnt warped a disc or any problems for that matter. Like Jimmy said it may be down to the brakes cooling. Might be worth a test and see where it goes from there. I have to say I'm not a fan of standard calipers and upgraded my 300 to run Maserati branded Brembo calipers and 350Z discs.
  11. No dramas buddy
  12. Right fellas I'm in. Daz, I've said before that I live in Germany so if you need anything doing this end just let me know, more than happy to help out if I can. Rob

  16. Hi guys, Unfortunatly my Red Z is long term dead. :cursing::cursing: Any one mind if I still come but in my 350Z ?????? Please say yes as i'm still a 300 lover at heart LOL. Note to self remember to pay subs !!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope everyone is doing ok, Rob
  17. Ill let you know in a week mate when I pick it up. From the test I did in it, the power comes on more progressive instead of a kick up the ass like my 300. On paper they are similar on power.
  18. Cheers for the comments guys, Good to see the debates are as good on these aswell as on 300's haha. But thats why I like this forum. Nismo or Rota's, I personnally aint fussed, I think they suit the car well, will post proper pics with the 300 when I get it.
  19. Hi there guys, Well I"ve had to succumb to the other halfs moans and groans and moved the 300 to the role of 2nd car/ring weapon. Had a think of what I wanted and what I could get away with and went for whats in the pics below. Its a 2004 GT with Nismo 19'' wheels and air filter. It has a cat-back blueflame exhaust fitted aswell. Oh and the plate of course lol. Pick it up hopefully next week. Enjoy the pics, Rob
  20. June or july for me [/b]
  21. Hi there gents, The track was open from 0900 - 1700 on the sunday. Saturday was closed due to a race. The official website will tell us when the track is open to the public. It does vary from what I can see. Rob
  22. Hi guys, Already read the how-to guides on here so no drama there, however I'm a little apprehensive to be honest. But the job needs doing so going for it LOL. Is there anything that might/will break or will need replacing? I'm putting new rocker cover gaskets on. I have a new plenum gasket to go on and will do spark plugs at the same time. Any hints and tips will be most welcome. Cheers all, Rob
  23. Hi there everyone, Just got back from the ring, sadly not in the 300 but the other halfs Volvo. Got a bit of info which might help with getting this event off the ground. Firstly the important bit, even at this time of year it was quite busy however they were getting cars onto the track pretty quickly. Laps are priced at 22 euro a go or 75 euro for 4. There's more discount for buying more laps. Cant pay cash for stuff there inc laps, you credit a "Ring-card", its like a debit card. Petrol prices are more than UK, however thats common throughout Europe. For 95 petrol its 1.35 euro and for 100 petrol its 1.43 euro. Stayed at a hotel about 20KM from the track, its run by a English woman and her German husband, really cant reccommend it enough. Link is http://www.hotel-wilhelmshoehe.de/en/welcome/welcome.html If anyone needs more info I'll see what I can do, its only 3ish hours down the road. Rob
