  1. Looks like scrapping is going to be the clear winner. Unfortunatly I dont have a garage so that aint an option, same reasons and living in Germany I cant break it so its car heaven only.
  2. Ok guys, Need you to poll with your brains not the heart. Problems with the car at the moment are as follows.... 1. Flooded (water half way up doors) 2. Corroded rear brake lines (needs replacing, rear subframe out job) 3. Finish off leaking rocker cover job. Thats the major jobs anyway, over and above that it will need a respray and a few niff naff jobs. Need some help what to do really, Jimmer summed it up in the below thread. Your help is needed. Cheers guys, Rob http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=144558
  3. Really hate to say it but I have the same feeling at the back of my mind. Its got quite a bit of uprated parts on it which I dont want to just get rid of. Really dont know what to do.
  4. I know mate, pretty down about it at the moment to be honest. But like a said will assess the damage over the weekend and go from there, cant do a lot more really. Whats peoples thoughts on trying to rig a de-humidifier in it??
  5. Right then, the car is now outside myself and looking very sorry for herself. Plan for the weekend is ............... 1. A clean to try and get rid of some of the green skank on her. 2. Rip out the interior and start to dry everything off. 3. Cry into my beer at the damage I'm sure to find LOL. Was speaking to the Germans on camp who saw the waterline and they reckon it was half way up the door!!!!!!!!! Seats and door cards are wet so I am fearing the worst. Anyway I will be starting a journal thread so standby for loads of questions and help sourcing new parts. Cheers guys, Rob
  6. Hi there buddy, Not too fussed about the cats as it will be de-catted as part of the rebuild. Will check the ECU, only knew about the one in the footwell, will check it out. Thankfully I dont have electric seats so thats a bonus I suppose LOL. The car is getting towed home tomorrow so will have a working weekend on her. I will post up pics and findings.
  7. I dont think it went up that high mate, however will get amongst it over the weekend and have a look. Luckily for me its off the road at the mo anyway so wont be started or driven for a while.
  8. Cheers Craig, Knew the airing cupboard thing but not white spirit, I'll square that away. TBH I saw it and was so pissed off I went for a coffee and a slab of cake LOL. Will be towing it home this week and spending the weekend sorting her out. I'll post some pics up. However the grren moss has started to set in around lights etc and the brakes are looking a bit rusty. A fun weekend is in store for me i think
  9. After the dramas I've had recently with the rocker gaskets leaking and rear brake lines corroding I thought I had had my fair share of bad luck......... But no!:headvswal:headvswal My camp flooded at the weekend due to some nugget not opening the flood gates like he's supposed to my Zed is now rather soggy, no hang on its piss wet through. Been talking to the lads and the water line was above the doors and exhaust pipes:mad::mad: So..... Any ideas on what problems I may encounter, I'm going to rip out the interior and carpets to dry them out and dry off the floor but am I going to have any more issues? Thankfully the car was not started when it was swimming so it shouldnt have ingested any water. Cheers guys
  10. Does that mean I will have to re-fit it every year to get it through the MOT? My car is a UK 1991. I think its ok to leave it de-catted for the MOT due to its age????? Please let me know if I'm wrong.
  11. Here you go guys, a taster to get the juices going  Have to admit that when its a little damp on the track it can bite you on the ass pretty quickly. The grafitti on the track gets very slippery and I did have a few moments. But overall the place is mega and you really need to get over here for a blast. Rob
  12. My whole camp stopped today for the 2mins. Parade and service on Sunday wearing the ginger drinking suit, will raise a glass or 10 to those who made the greatest sacrifise. Important to remember all conflicts however not just the 2 world wars.
  13. Right then guys I'm off to the ring tomorrow, dont care if its p1ss1ng it down, its only a few hours away and I've got the day off work. If the organisers of the trip want me to collect any info just let me know. Will post some pics up tomorrow night, will be the 350Z though. Rob
  14. Love it, really clean looking example. Good job.
  15. Oh hell I am def up for this. Hopefully the 300ZX will be all fixed by then if not the 350Z can come along. Went last month and its the best thing I've ever done in a car. Its fan-fappin-tastic. Sorry no idea how to add my name to the list.
  16. Was in my 350Z on the ring road. A BMW wanted to play for a second and then a black 300ZX (I think) appeared. Give me a shout if your about at some point, I'm at Middle Wallop for a couple of weeks although away from now till Friday.
  17. Awesome vids, as a 300ZX and a 350Z owner mixed emotions LOL. However the 300ZX is my number 1. Who owns the purple 'burnout' car?
  18. Have a ball mate, got hitched last month and had a whale of a time.
  19. Hi there guys, Can anybody give me their opinion on these and the seller please? Should I get them they will be mated to an uprated fuel rail prob from Danny at DTA. Or am I better off getting Nismo branded? Many thanks, Rob http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290465234453&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  20. Right here goes..... AirCon dont work - Being Removed Drivers door lock dont work. Dissintegrated rear brake lines - Due to rust Need to complete Plenum water bypass Fit new rad and pipes Finish removing AIV, EGR, C. Canister etc That dont include rust, not major hopefully. Think thats it thank god LOL
  21. Here's me then guys, sorry don't know how to resize. A warm day on the ranges !!!! A cold day in the jungle !!!
  22. Right then fellas, After my last thread on what car to buy if I sell the 350Z I now have a short list. So what do you guys think? 1. Audi S4 2. BMW E46 M3 Cab 3. Vauxhall Monaro 4. Mercedes Benz CL55 AMG Still need to drive each one but might give me a better idea of what to get. Cheerz, Rob
  23. CL55 AMG, not even thought of that. Been thinking of an S4 today aswell. I really dont know to be honest tho. Could just chuck 12k into a 300ZX LOL
  24. Cheers for all the thoughts guys, The car will be my daily driver for work and for smashing round europe with the wife. She is keen for me to get a convertible, however she dont care what I get. In her words she has the sensible shopping car so I dont need to. Thoughts I had are....... Porsche Boxster S BMW M3 Conv The car has to have a wow factor, it needs to be as quick as the 350Z and not a common car. Like the Monaro idea by the way
  25. Hi there guys, Had an offer of 12 grand for my 350Z today. Before I consider it I will need a replacement, any ideas???? Can be any type of car as the other half has the practical wagon. Open to suggestions as I just have no idea really LOL. Over to you lot, Rob
