hi there all, I'm on my iPad and can't search as the menu don't like iPad. Can somebody search for misfire on idle and post the relevant links if any please? Cheers, Rob

Done the test and seems ok. The misfire is now only on idle below 1200 rpm. Above this there is no smoke and she runs on all 6 cylinders. Any ideas as I'm baffled, due to there being no consistency in faults I'm thinking something electrical over mechanical. Cheers guys

Hi there all, It really breaks me to write this but I'm gonna have to bail out on this. The dates for my trip to America has changed, unfortunately as it's with the Army I can not change it. Hi guys, Been doing a bit of fault finding and general poking and prodding ref my smokey car. Initially the thought that it was a drivers side turbo seal on the way out, however over the weekend I have discovered it is only firing on 5 cylinders and the passenger exhaust intermittantly smokes now. Just had an oil change and no dramas there, apart from honking old oil LOL. Did see that there is a slight leak on the turbo oil return pipes (turbo back to sump) on both sides. The mechanic reckons it might be piston rings, this is what my old man thought when it first went wrong. Can I get your thoughts please guys as piston rings is completely different to turbo seals. On the plus side underneath is really clean with no rust, do need to look at the seals each end of the prop as there was definately a leak at each end. Cheers guys, Rob

Yeah I know what you mean mate. Looked at Z1 but dont think I can stretch to uprated tubs then get them fitted. Buying the new car has temp cleaned me out.

Further from my other thread it would seem my drivers side turbo seal is on its way out. So heres a few questions..... 1. Do I need to replace both tubs or just the goosed one? 2. Where is the best place to get re-con tubs? 3. How much am I looking at? Would like to use the tubs off my old UK Zed but I have no way of knowing if they are ok. Cheers guys.

Thats the feeling I get too mate. I have a UK car with a set of turbos, would these fit ok? New car is JDM. Also whats the score with driving it?

Does yours blow from both exhausts or just one ?

Filler cap is ok mate no mayonnaise. The engine sounds ok apart from the chugging from the exhaust. Temp needle is remains half way and the oil needle reads about 2 on the guage. However I know the guages are sh1te LOL.

Trying to get a comp tester but no luck at the mo. Dunno if its been stood for a while, whats your idea of a good run? I'm supposed to be driving to Wales from Basingstoke tomorrow.
