Storing the Zed's
Outdoors without a cover unfortunately. Was going to be in a rubber hanger but work has let me down on that one.

Storing the Zed's

Get grooved to do it mate, you send him the pods etc and he fully LED's them. About a week turnaround I think. I'm boxing my bits up to send him.

What Turbo?
Yeah see your point, will have to save a bit more then. With the divorced downpipes, postage and tax looks at being around the £1300 mark. More than I intended but never mind. Will be my only purchase for a while LOL. Is this a realistic DIY job?

What Turbo?
Right I think I'm going down the T28 route. Seen few new ones on eBay for between £250-£280 each. Take into consideration having to get odds and sods I'm looking at £600ish for parts. What roughly would I be looking at for the labour cost, I would like to do it myself but a pro is probably the best idea. Can anyone see any flaws in my plans???????? Cheers, rob

What Turbo?
Be interested to see how these are mate, I've seen them online but can't find any reviews. How far you got with them?
-
What Turbo?
Cheers for the replys, Not going the second hand route, I'm happy to do recon but only by a known and reputable company. I like the sound of the T28 option, not just for cost but it will go straight on with no pissing about. Living in Germany that's important as NO garage will work on them here. As I'm not going to be around for nearly 4 months from Friday ease is key too, I want all the bits in my cellar for when I get back so I can get the job done.

What Turbo?
Hi guys, Looking at options to replace my smokey tubs and am after some advice. I've looked at the Z1 products but not too sure which would be best. Will be for road use with the odd trip to the nurburgring or track day, I'm not looking at upgrading the engine internals so massive tubs are not an option. I've looked at the option of using a pair of T28's, these are labelled as replacements for the 200SX, would these fit a 300? I also don't want to spend a fortune on them either, the wife is already spending my Afghanistan bonus and turbos ain't on her list LOL. Cheers, Rob

German Low Emission Zone (LEZ) Advice Please
I've not to been to the cities where it's required mate. I've done some asking here and if you dont have 1 it's an on the spot fine, however I'm told the old bill are more bothered you have the first aid kit etc on board. Keep a 200 pack of fags on the back seat, that usually helps if you know what I mean

Blitz ECU
Hi guys, Dug it out earlier, it was fitted to my old Zed that got flooded, if I connect it up to my new car to see if it works still will I do any damage? Also is there a test I can do to see if it is working ok. Cheers, Rob

German Low Emission Zone (LEZ) Advice Please
Hi mate, when we come over with a UK car it don't have the sticker. I'm driving the Zed around without one and nobody has said a word. I think you would get away with it but don't hold me to it. I've been here 3 years.

Odometer
Erm no it's on 18's. The comparison is with a tom-tom sat nav, I'm noticed that the speed given on this is different to the wife's new XC60, so it's probably about right.
-
Odometer
The speed reading is about 10 KM out, I.e. 70mph reads as 80 on the dial. Ref point 2, that's exactly what I'm planning to do, so in my opinion totally legal.

plastic wheel arch liners for the rear???
It's plastic mate so should be able to make it fit. I've got a 350Z so can measure them if needed.

My Smokey Zed Videos
So by reading all the posts it would seem I have a turbo on the way out. Look forward to that expense !!!!!!!!!!!!!! A bit of luck with a ZX just once would be nice.

Cheers for the info, I feel I need to say it again so it's completely clear to everyone. I am not clocking a car for monetary gain if I ever sell it. As said before I have a JDM car registering in KMH which has had the converter fitted however the readings for speed are totally inaccurate. I am fitting a set of UK clocks and want to change the milage on them to say what it says on the car at present, no difference at all. It will be changed so they read exactly in miles what it does in KMH. I think I have covered myself totally there. Cheers again, Rob
-
Odometer
All I'm doing is putting in a set of uk clocks into a JDM car. There is about 25000 miles difference between the two, JDM being lower. No illegal agenda at all.

Anyone???????

Odometer
Hi all, Can somebody who has done a JDM to UK speedo change tell me how they changed the mileometer to read correctly? Tried earlier but don't want to force it. Cheers, Rob
