Typically the caliper mounting lugs get in the way of the hub mounting lugs and you need to offset the caliper to get enough space to fit, as in the case above. For reference here is an axial mount caliper left vs radial mount right (which offers more flexability in mounting in bespoke applications).
Visually rather a strange place for the rear caliper to be mounted. If you reconnect the tension rods to the lower suspension arms won't that place a tension onto the lower radiator support before it has been welded back in place?
